One of the first semi-faired bikes in the country, the Karizma, has been a popular bike since it was first launched in 2003. Throughout these years, the Karizma has been given a quite a few cosmetic updates, but the engine has remained almost the same. Even the fully-faired version, the Karizma ZMR, retains the engine, but with fuel injection.
The latest iteration of Karizma R features a restyled fairing coupled with all-new graphics and a redesigned engine cowl with a black theme for the engine. The bike also features clear lens turn indicators, stepped up seat, a new yellow-black instrument cluster and black alloy die-cast wheels.
The Karizma R continues to be powered by the tried and tested four-stroke SOHC 223cc engine which delivers 17bhp and 18Nm of torque. Power is put down on the road via a five-speed gearbox. The bike gets discs at the front and drums at the rear. Though the bike is tad underpowered, the dynamics have been perfected over time making it comfortable in urban stop-go traffic as well as long-distance travel.
The Karizma R is available in five colour schemes- Sport red, Spotlight white, Daring yellow, Ebony grey and Power black. Priced at Rs 81,600 (ex-showroom Delhi), the Karizma R goes up against Bajaj Pulsar 220F, Bajaj NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 180.
The ARAI mileage of Hero [2003-2014] Karizma is 40 kmpl. The average of the [2003-2014] Karizma is 40 kmpl, as per the owners of the bike.

I was excited about buying for the first time bcoz it was the first time I was going to have my own bike. Riding was okay as at that time the Karizma style was not available at that price in the market. The yellow color was ok in color and performance was somewhat better for long drives.Maintenance is somewhat costly as it requires frequent checkups.Gear sifting and soccer can be better and if once you meet with an accident then the whole body will get damaged.

It is a wonderful bike, but its pickup, style, and performance are too much, this bike is very low in maintenance, and its stability is long-lasting. My experience is this bike is value for money, because everything is in this bike. Style, look, performance, good pickup, good mileage, and handling is much better than another bike, a real beast.

The bike was in high demand during 2012 but finally got from a direct dealer. To say about the bike there is no words stability, mileage, long rides, racing, pickup, maintenance cost all top notch. I'm using this for almost 10 year never had any trouble but since production stopped parts are high demand but still smooth as like new bike.
