KTM RC 390 spied in Pune

One of the most awaited motorcycles from KTM in India, the RC 390, has been spotted again in Pune. It is the same motorcycle that was sighted testing before in the same city.

The motorcycle clad in disguise doesn’t seem to be a prototype but a production version from the looks of it. The black and white decals acting as a camouflage don’t hide the details revealing the major parts of the bike. The front fairing, visor, headlamps, the OVRMs, rear tyre hugger and tail have similarities with the motorcycle unveiled at the EICMA event.

The clip-on handlebars, switches and some more parts will be localised. The indicators on this bike might be the makeshift ones which might differ on the final production version,once it goes on sale in the country. The manufacturer will retain most of the traits in the final version of the bike.

The KTM RC 390 is powered by the same single cylinder 373cc engine that powers the naked Duke 390. This onechurns out 43bhp of power and 35Nm of torque. The motor is mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox. 

Just like the Duke 125, Duke 200 and the Duke 390, the Austrian manufactureris expected to build the entire the RC range, with the exception of the RC8, at its production facility in India. The RC200 might be launched before the RC 390 goes on sale in the Indian market. We hope we see the RC 390 and the RC 200 running on the Indian streets soon.
