Bajaj Motorcycles dealerships have started taking bookings of the new Discover 150S that has been priced at Rs 51,448 (ex-showroom Thane) for the drum brake variant. The disc brake variant is priced at Rs 54,438 (ex-showroom Thane).
The nationwide launch of this bike is yet to happen and is expected to take place on August 11, along with the faired version, which is rumoured to be called the Discover 150F. The Discover 150S is based on the Discover 125ST platform and carries most of the components like the rear mono shock absorber, front and rear mudguards, seat, tank, grab rail , alloy wheels and even instrument console. The most interesting part is, being a 125cc motorcycle, the Discover 125ST was launched at Rs 55,740 which is almost Rs 4,000 more than the new Discover 150S that is replacing it.
The new Discover 150S will get a new 150cc four-valve DTSi engine that is expected to churn out around 14bhp and will get a five-speed gearbox. Both the variants will get self and kick-start and will be sold in traditional Discover decals.
The Bajaj Discover 150S can be booked for an advance of Rs 500. The drum brake variant is available in stock whereas the disc brake variant will take two weeks to reach the showrooms.
