Kannan Subramaniam from Chennai won both the Open category races in TVS Apache RTR 200 one-make championship in Coimbatore. The season opener was held at Kari Motor Speedway.
R. Arvind Ganesh secured second place in both races. G.A.Sunil came in third in the second race and retired in the first. Taking that opportunity, Rahil Peerzade secured the third spot in the first race on Saturday. In Race 1 on Saturday, Subramaniam, who also takes part in the Asia Road Racing Championship, finished 23.781s ahead of second placed Arvind Ganesh. Race 2 was also a repeat for him with a huge win for him with over 23s. The fourth spot was taken by Peerzade in Race 1 and Sofyan Ahmed in Race 2.
R.L. Yashas from Bangalore won the first place in TVS Apache RTR 200 One Make championship Novice category while R. Hari Prasath (Chennai) and R. Asfak Ahamed (Coimbatore) secured second and third positions on the podium.
