As we told you before, several spy shots over the last week have spoiled Honda’s big reveal of the upcoming CBR1000RR. However, that has not stopped the company from releasing its line of teaser episodes for the upcoming supersport superbike. This second teaser reveals very little and a lot at the same time.
Called Total Control teaser two, it shows us a dark shot of half the engine of the motorcycle along with the header pipes. But that’s not all, the engine appears to be being tested at peak rpm which can easily be understood from the sound clip and the glowing red header pipes. The teaser video is only 18 seconds long but reveals quite a bit.
There is no doubt, Honda has reworked the engine for more power while meeting the Euro4 emissions. From the earlier spy shots that had leaked, the new Honda CBR1000RR looks to be an evolution of the current model rather than a major overhaul. The bike stays true to CBR design philosophy, with the fairing drawing inspiration from the Light Weight Super Sports concept.
With these episodes, it seems as if Honda is trying to building as much hype as possible before the official reveal date, October 4 2016 – the first day of the INTERMOT show.
