Royal Enfield has reported a whopping 41 per cent sales growth in November. It was a result of strong festive demand for some of the Royal Enfield bikes.
The company sold 57,313 motorcycles last month compared to 40,769 units the same month in 2015. Out of this, 1470 units were exported, whereas the domestic sales stood at 55,843 units. The strong sales is a result of good demand for the Classic 350 models. Other bikes like the Thunderbird 350 and the Classic 500 performs decent enough for the company. The Chennai-based manufacturer’s last launch - the Himalayan has failed to get the numbers needed for the company.
Royal Enfield is currently in the process of strengthening its foothold in the international market. It unveiled the fuel injected version of the Himalayan at the 2016 EICMA for the European market. The company also launched their adventure bike in Australia and Colombia. It’s no secret that the company has been working on multi-cylinder bike since last couple of years. In fact, there are some rumours about one being launched early next year. However, the company didn’t confirm this development.
