Bajaj Auto has confirmed to launch two new Pulsar motorcycles this year. One motorcycle will be smaller than the Pulsar 200NS and another will be of the bigger capacity which will turn out to be the Pulsar 375.
"We have several launches lined up for this year. There are at least two new Pulsars- one that will be smaller than the Pulsar 200cc and another that will be much bigger. This is going to help us defend our leadership in this space and that is very important for us." said Rajiv Bajaj, MD, Bajaj Auto.
The Pune based manufacturer may launch the face-lifted Pulsar 150 or Pulsar 180 as both these models contribute the most in the Pulsar series. They may update this motorcycle with mono-shock and borrow few features from the Pulsar 200NS.
Earlier this year, spy pictures of the Pulsar 375 prototype surfaced the web which showed that the Pulsar 375 will be a full-faired motorcycle. The company may launch this motorcycle as a sports-tourer machine and will tag it as their flag-ship motorcycle. The Pulsar 375 will be priced above the Duke 200 and below the Duke 390 – the same motorcycle from which most of the technology and engineering will be borrowed. We expect the Pulsar 375 to be priced at around Rs 2 lakh.
