Exclusive: Hero MotoCorp’s upcoming 250cc motorcycle will be launched under Karizma ZMR brand

Hero Moto Corp’s much awaited 250cc motorcycle will be sold in India under the ‘Karizma ZMR’ brand, a source informed BikeWale. Most likely the new motorcycle will be called the Hero Karizma ZMR 250 and will be unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Auto Expo.

The upcoming 250cc motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp will be powered by a single cylinder liquid cooled engine that is expected to generate power somewhere between 25PS and 29PS with decent amount of torque. The engine will probably be designed and developed in collaboration between Erik Buell Racing and AVL.  

The new motorcycle will be fully-faired with a very aggressive riding stance to compete with the CBR250R. But knowing Hero MotoCorp, they might price the product very competitively which will help them pitch this motorcycle against the Yamaha R15 and the KTM Duke 200.
