KTM to unveil RC125, RC200 and RC390 at 2013 EICMA

The EICMA (Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori) has always been a big event for the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer KTM. Last year it was the Duke 390 and the SuperDuke 1290 R concept vehicle and this year they are believed to be bringing fully faired versions of the Duke 125, 200 and 390.

The motorcycles will be called the RC125, RC200 and the RC390. Out of the trio we can confirm the existence of the third one as KTM had previously revealed a race-ready version for the ADAC Junior Cup and then confirmed the development of a road going version. Reports suggest that due to the similar designs of all three naked motorcycles, it was a minor effort to create versions of the 200 and the 125.

In terms of power, they will make use of the same engines as their naked counterparts. The RC125 is expected to produce 15bhp, the RC200 25bhp while the RC390 is expected to produce 43bhp. There will also be a slightly restricted version of the RC390 that will produce 41.5bhp and will be available for those with European A2 grade licence.

However, the biggest news is that the trio will be manufactured by parent company Bajaj in India which means that we should see two out of the three models being launched in the Indian market. We expect the RC200 to be launched in India soon whereas RC390 will first make its way to 2014 Auto Expo.
