KTM has unveiled the fully faired version of the Duke 390. Dubbed the RC 390, it is based on the RC 390 racing bike unveiled earlier this year and uses the same engine and underpinnings as the Duke 390. It joins the RC 125 and the RC 200 as KTM’s new offerings for the 2013 edition of the Italian exhibition.
It follows a similar design as it track ready sibling but includes all the elements like rear view mirrors, indicators, visor and a number plate holder to make it road legal. The faired version seems to continue the naked bike’s aggressive stance thanks to the angular design of the faring and dual headlamps.
The KTM RC 390 is powered by the same single cylinder 373cc engine that powers the Duke 390. It produces 43bhp and 35Nm of torque and has been mated to a six-speed sequential gearbox.
It is almost certain that KTM will be manufacturing the RC range at its plant in India and will exporting from here to many countries. We can expect Bajaj to launch the KTM RC 390 during the 2014 Auto Expo.
