Hero MotoCorp has donated four specially designed First Responder Vehicles (FRVs) to the government civil hospitals in Rewari and Dharuhera, Haryana. The handover of the vehicles is part of the company’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives towards the COVID-19 relief efforts.
These specially designed vehicles would be used to reach patients in rural and remote areas and move them to the nearest hospitals. These vehicles have been custom-built as an accessory on the Hero Xtreme 200R.
The custom vehicles have been equipped with a full stretcher, foldable hood and essential medical equipment such as a detachable first-aid kit, oxygen cylinder and a fire extinguisher. Other features include LED Flasher Lights, foldable beacon light, emergency wireless public announcement system and siren.
The Xtreme 200R uses a 199.6cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled motor that produces 18.1bhp of power at 8,000rpm and 17.1Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The engine is linked to a five-speed transmission.
Apart from donating the motorcycles, the company has distributed 14 lakh meals, 37,000 litres of sanitizers, 30 lakh face masks and 15,000 PPE kits to government hospitals, the Police departments and other agencies.
