Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) announced their sales report for May 2017 that shows a 23 per cent incline in sales overall. The company sold 5,37,035 units last month as compared to 4,36,328 units sold in the same month in 2016.
The domestic sales for the two-wheeler manufacturer are up by 23 per cent too. They sold 5,10,381 scooters and motorcycles in May 2017 as against 4,15,860 units sold in the same month last year. The exports too jumped by 30 per cent to 26,654 units from 20,468 units in the same period.
There is a growth of 20 per cent in motorcycle sales and 23 per cent hike in scooter sales. The motorcycles sales increased as 1,76,216 units were delivered to customers in May 2017. On the other hand, the company had sold 1,47,431 motorcycles in May 2016. Sales of scooters also increased to 3,34,165 units last month from 2,68,429 units sold in the corresponding period in 2016.
HMSI's success rate shows consistently with their steady growth in sales figures. This growth is an outcome of always having ambitious plans for the Indian two-wheeler market. This includes the launch of new products, while also working on extending their services in our country.
