Kawasaki launches 2022 Ninja 400, Ninja 650 and Ninja ZX-14R

- 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400, Ninja 650 and Ninja ZX-14R introduced

- Will arrive at the dealerships in the US by summer 2022

- Only Ninja 650 retails as of now in the Indian market 

Kawasaki has started early production of its 2022 sports-tourer and supersport model lineup. It includes the Ninja 400, Ninja 650 and the Ninja ZX-14R. The new models will start arriving at dealerships in the US by summer next year.

Right Front Three Quarter

The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 400 is a very aerodynamic looking motorcycle. It comes with aggressive styling, a split-style seat and chunky exhaust with a metal cover. Furthermore, it gets features like an LED headlight, a semi-digital instrument cluster and a slipper clutch. It's powered by a 399cc twin-cylinder engine that sits in a trellis frame. There are three variants on offer: non-ABS, ABS, and the KRT Edition. The non-ABS and ABS variants will be available in two colour options: Metallic Carbon Gray/Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Matte Twilight Blue/Metallic Graphite Gray. Meanwhile, the KRT Edition is painted in a Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White colour scheme. The prices of different variants are as follows: 

Ninja 400 Non-ABS: USD 4,999 (Rs 3.66 lakh)

Ninja 400 ABS: USD 5,399 (Rs 3.95 lakh)

Ninja 400 KRT Edition: USD 5,599 (Rs 4.10 lakh)

The 2022 Kawasaki Ninja 650 is the next sports tourer motorcycle to be introduced by the manufacturer. The bike gets sharp styling and an upright riding position. It comes with features like twin LED headlights, windscreen and Bluetooth smartphone connectivity via Rideology app. Moreover, it runs on Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 tyres. Powering the Ninja 650 is a 649cc parallel-twin engine. Here, similarly there are three variants on offer non-ABS, ABS, and the KRT Edition. The non-ABS and ABS variants will be available in two colour options: Metallic Matte Graphene steel/Metallic Diablo Black and Pearl Robotic White/Metallic Carbon Gray. Meanwhile, the KRT Edition will be available in Lime Green/Ebony/Pearl Blizzard White paint scheme. The prices of different variants are as follows: 

Ninja 650 Non-ABS: USD 7,699 (Rs 5.64 lakh)

Ninja 650 ABS: USD 8,099 (Rs 5.93 lakh)

Ninja 650 KRT Edition: USD 8,299 (Rs 6.08 lakh)

The Ninja ZX-14R is a supersport model in Kawasaki's 2022 lineup. The Ninja ZX-14R sports a sleek and aerodynamic design. It's equipped with electronics and rider aids such as two power modes and a three-mode traction control system. It's powered by a 1,441cc DOHC inline-four engine that sits in a unique monocoque aluminium frame. There will be only one colour scheme on offer, Pearl Storm Gray/Metallic Diablo Black. The bike is priced at USD 15,399 (Rs 11.28 lakh).

The Kawasaki Ninja 400 and the Ninja ZX-14R were discontinued after the BS6 norms kicked in the country. The Japanese manufacturer has still not made any official announcement regarding the arrival of the BS6 models. However, the company has the Ninja 650 on offer which retails at a price tag of Rs 6.54 lakh, ex-showroom.
