Most affordable Royal Enfield Classic 350: What's different

Royal Enfield has launched a new Classic 350 variant which is the most affordable motorcycle in its Classic range. We tell you the changes it receives that differentiates it from the standard Classic 350.

Blacked-out components

The new Classic 350 uses the same bodywork as the standard Classic 350. It gets a round headlight, taillight and turn indicators, a tear-drop shaped fuel tank and spoke wheels that continue to give it a retro appeal. However, the Classic 350 variant gets a couple of changes that set it apart from the standard bike. First is the introduction of blacked-out components in place of the Classic’s otherwise chrome adorned body. The bike’s entire engine, as well as the mirrors and rims, are finished in black lending the new Classic 350 variant a fresher and more modern look.

New paint schemes

Royal Enfield has given the new Classic 350 the same treatment as the Bullet 350X. So it sports a differently coloured tank that is a contrast to the blacked-out components which also includes the front and rear fender along with the headlamp cowl. The manufacturer is offering the motorcycle in two different colour schemes for the tank- Pure Black and Mercury Silver.

Different braking hardware

The standard Classic 350 sports a rear disc brake along with a dual-channel ABS as standard. On the other hand, to keep costs low, Royal Enfield has equipped the affordable Classic 350 with a rear drum brake and has provided a single-channel ABS for the front wheel. Apart from this, the bike remains the same mechanically.

Pricing

Royal Enfield has priced the new Classic 350 at Rs 1.45 lakh; making it Rs 7,500 more affordable than the Classic 350 which costs Rs 1.53 lakh. (all prices ex-showroom, Delhi). This reduction in cost is thanks to the new braking hardware and the blacked-out components that the new Classic 350 uses.
