Triumph Motorcycles has announced that its Street Twin range will now be called Speed Twin 900. The motorcycle is available in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs 8.35 lakh onwards.
Apart from the revised nomenclature, Triumph Motorcycles has also announced the colour options for this retro-style product. These include three options – Triumph Jet Black, Matte Ironstone, and new Matte Silver Ice. The new paint theme features the Matte Silver Ice finish to the fuel tank with silver and yellow graphics, Jet Black side panels, and Jet Black mudguards. The colour options affect the prices and the complete price list is as given below:
Jet Black: Rs 8.35 lakh
Matte Ironstone: Rs 8.48 lakh
Matte Silver Ice: Rs 8.48 lakh
Meanwhile, the styling remains unaltered, and the Speed Twin 900 continues to feature a round headlight, round shape for the rear-view mirrors, tear-drop-shaped fuel tank, single-piece saddle, and twin-sided exhaust canisters.
The mechanical specifications retain the BS6-compliant, 900cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine. Linked to a five-speed gearbox, the motor produces 64.1bhp at 7,500rpm and 80Nm of peak torque at 3,800rpm. The hardware includes a tubular steel twin cradle frame, telescopic front forks, twin rear springs, and single discs on both wheels.
