- Overall, six contenders made it to the 2022 jury round
TVS Raider 125 has bagged the Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2022. The said award is the most prestigious accolade that a motorcycle can win in the Indian market. Not to mention, it’s often referred to as the Oscar of Indian motorcycles too. The winning bike not only ticks the box of being a value for money preposition but also adheres to the design, technology, fuel economy, performance and above all, sustainability for Indian riding conditions.
The jury of IMOTY comprises senior motorcycle journalists from various magazines and online publications. These are the folks that brainstorm throughout the day and evaluate various factors thereby shortlisting the potential contenders. The names shortlisted for this year’s award are: Royal Enfield Classic 350, TVS Raider 125, Honda CB200X, Yamaha FZ X, Bajaj Pulsar F250 and Bajaj Pulsar N250.
The Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2022’s jury was held at Buddh International Circuit. The panel consisted of Aspi Bhathena from Bike India, Vikrant Singh from BikeWale, Kartik Ware and Pablo Chatterjee from Motoring World, Rohit Paradkar from Overdrive and Abhay Verma from TurboCharged.

The members from the agency collect the scoring sheets during the jury round, tabulate the points and maintain the utmost secrecy by presenting the envelope with the winner's name only on the awards ceremony night.
The Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2022 award was received by Aniruddha Haldar, Senior Vice President of Marketing for the TVS Raider 125.
