The new gt 650 has got soul
Mohd Junaid
To start off this bike was never on my mind to buy. I had always wanted a harley softail and was contemplating buying it but due to a few other commitments had been putting off picking one up. I happened to spot the new re twins at a showroom and test rode the interceptor first and was really impressed. My cousin has the previous continental gt and i have ridden that bike and based on that didnt want to even consider the new gt. But i happened to ask for the gt keys as well and requested to test the bike by myself. Something about the grip and the weight of the bike and the new engine connected to my physically and instantly i knew i loved this bike in a second. I immediately put down a 10k deposit and booked the new gt 650 in a heartbeat. The next 20 days were spent watching every review and comparison available on youtube and instagram. I was lucky to get my bike within 20 days of having booked it. Have ridden it about 250 kms. I usually don't ride due to traffic and pollution concerns and always use my cars. In my opinion this bike is beautiful. The new engine and everything about the bike immediately makes a physical connection with you. It feels like a well fitting leather glove. It is quite heavy and would advice against parking it in an incline or on a slope or in any tight spot. I cant fully explain how much i like the new gt 650 and still am amazed re can make this bike this affordable. The quality is great and this bike is the perfect stepping stone for the new bikers who want a bigger engine. Its an easy bike to learn the discipline of owning a big bike. Learning about the importance of gear and boots will only happen on a large bike.200 kilos though not that heavy but still is quite a bit for our indian traffic and roads. Id suggest every harley street 750 buyer to check this one before buying that. It matches up and then some with every other bike in twice its price range. And well its made in india. As made in india should be. Beautiful bike and love it to a fault. If re launches an 800 or a bigger bike soon who is to say i may never dream of harley again. And i like looking at it a little more than riding it. On speed and specs i guess there are a million reviews out there. I haven't ridden it more than 120 but i think it'll do 160 to 170 with ease and stay on 150 all day. Ill never change the exhausts cause for me the bike needs to feel great more than sound. And i am quite against loud aftermarket exhausts. I don't like attention and prefer being unnoticed and am glad the bike is understated and yet perfectly beautiful. I would however in the near future want to replace my tyres to tubeless cause i cant imagine a flat on this bike. It doesn't heat up that much ... Is pretty stable in dead speed traffic and the riding position is not at all painful as some reviews have called it. A few days in the saddle will season you well. what more can i say. I guess this bike has some soul. Like a well set up guitar.. A well seasoned bat... A true modern day classic.Oh and fuel consumption i've mostly only ridden in dead traffic where i am barely out of 2nd gear and im getting about 20. Think that will be better in normal riding conditions.

The on road price for this beast of a machine in Gangtok was around 3.16 lakhs and that is the lowest price point. The price depends on the color of the bike. The raw bike is good looking too but you can customize it a lot and make it look even better. The stock exhaust is breath taking. The 650cc engine performs exceptionally well. While buying the bike do order for a seat cover, it will enhance the look of the bike even more. This bike is not made for long tours but for short fun rides. You can tour in this bike obviously that is your choice, but you will suffer from chronic back pain and wrist pain, also the fuel tank is small compared to the inceptor so it will give you less mileage. If you are looking for class, stylish looks and grand entry and a head turner then go for continental gt650. If you are looking for a tour bike with much comfort and same exhaust and sound then i would recommend interceptor 650.

Its a terrific bike from the royal's. It cannot be compared with any other in this segment neither at this 2.55 lakh price tag, all others are blowned out. The day is not so far when 75%of Indians will ride on royal enfield bike as because of the price tag and availability royal enfield is unstoppable... Bravo.

I brought this bike 4 days back and to be honest I haven't checked the mileage yet and if you ask me the riding experience then it's awesome. it's so smooth and I have gone till 120 speed.it was very smooth, and it can go beyond 120 and if you love the bike then money doesn't matter to you. This is the most refined engine from the royal Enfield and the rider has to lean little bit because of the handle bars and the tank if you're 5 feet or above it won't be a problem for you and as it's a heavy engine it might require high maintenance and one issue for me was the engine gets heated very fast and your legs will feel the heat from the engine.

Will not be the best bike in this range in terms of speed but for looks. Exhaust sound and everything else will be given 10/10. The riding experience was so good on this bike and the servicing was also nice as expected. There's just one con it doesn't have a double stand. You can take this bike for long rides it will be the best experience yours for sure

Purchasing the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 was a seamless process. The dealership staff were knowledgeable and helpful, guiding me through the options and ensuring a smooth transaction. The bike's pricing felt reasonable for the features offered. The riding experience on the GT 650 is exhilarating. The 650cc parallel-twin engine provides a perfect balance of power and smoothness. Whether cruising on the highway or navigating through city streets, the bike handles exceptionally well. The riding posture, inspired by classic café racers, adds to the overall thrill. The Continental GT 650 stands out with its classic yet sporty design. The retro-inspired fuel tank, clip-on handlebars, and sculpted seat contribute to its timeless appeal. The bike's performance is impressive, offering a punchy acceleration and a satisfying exhaust note. The instrument cluster is informative, and the build quality is robust. Servicing the GT 650 has been relatively hassle-free. Royal Enfield's service centers are accessible, and the maintenance costs are reasonable. Regular upkeep is essential, but the overall reliability of the bike has minimized unexpected issues. The Classic design with a modern touch. Very Smooth and powerful 650cc engine. Responsive handling and enjoyable on various terrains. The prices are competitive within its segment. Well-built and durable construction. It also has an aggressive riding posture that may not be comfortable for everyone. Limited pillion comfort for longer rides. Some reports of minor quality control issues (e.g., occasional vibrations). Fuel efficiency could be better. In conclusion, the Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is a charismatic motorcycle that successfully blends classic aesthetics with contemporary performance. The overall ownership experience, from purchase to maintenance, has been positive, making it a compelling choice for riders seeking a distinctive and enjoyable ride.

The Bold looks. She's definitely an eye-turner wherever I take her. When you move around the road, you definitely know that people are giving you the looks (spoiler alert: not the ladies. but the guys, oh they do)The Confidence she gives you. Whether you cruise around or race around, she holds her ground solid. No way she's gonna push you down.RE still sticks around with 'Ride by Cable'. Meaning:- She's sensitive. Even a small twist at the throttle and you get an instantaneous response. No lag, no fuss. And the engine always seems to have something more to give even when you are pushing her hard. The exhausts. The OEM ones were fine but don't have that oomph. The Red Roosters bring out that roar when you need it. Those can be loud when you want them to be, but they can also be quiet at those checkpoints if you know what I mean (wink, wink). Still, be responsible people. There are sound limits for a reason. The Vredestein Tyres. I'm glad that RE finally decided to upgrade the tires on their 650 Twins lineup. More on this is in the review section below. It's a GT 650. That's enough for a reason.

The RE Continental GT is the lightest, fastest and most powerful Royal Enfield in production! It is a part of the cultural phenomenon that has simply refused to fade away - the cafe racer!PROSIts all-new double cradle frame design makes it a bike that urges you to push harder and harder. As for the quality of the ride, the Paioli twin rear suspension provides it all. The Sport Demon tyres by Pirelli along with Brembo brakes combine to give you a solid feel in the corners. The clip-on handlebars and the rear set foot pegs give it a very sporty riding position!CONSThe only thing that lets down this bike is the number of vibrations provided by its 535cc fuel-injected engine. The engine head oil leakage is one minor problem !(almost all the RE's face it !)As for the finishing quality; it is arguably acceptable.FINAL STATEMENT:Now look at the brand names you have in the pros section and then look at its price! At a price of around 2.10 lac it is a phenomenal package available.Even the die-hard RE enthusiasts didn't expect this. This is a machine with a story, built with a painstaking collaboration. The bike is hailed by purists, loved by rockers and is the bike you'll have the most fun on!Yeah, this is how good the bike is!
