  • Stable gixxer 110 speed and 51 mileage

It cost me 92-93k in 2016, and till now ride run is 50k+, for me, mileage is 49-51 in the city(hyderabad traffic conditions). For me it is a very comfortable ride starting in 1 week I had trouble balancing bcoz of my 5ft height, my average speed in the city 40-70, and on highways 60-90 (the highest for me is 110speed). No significant maintenance cost till now, except for the chain kit and other regular services, satisfied with suzuki gixxer.

I owned this bike in 2nds form past 5 years the reading clocked to 98575kms, the engine is smooth and gives 52kmpl avg, I'm happy with it, I think this machine is good for long rides, the best and smoothest machine in 150cc segment I have a ride, the body to chassis is perfectly designed I love this bike looks, only one disadvantage is the spare parts are not available in stores.

This is an awesome bike no bike in the segment can compete with
Very smooth at the same time powerful.
Take the pickup from 40 to 122 kmph in top gear milage in n eco mode 60kmpland power mode 50kmpl
Suzuki must relaunch this bike in fi will get good sales
    pros
Discussed by more cons headlight and rear brake. Those are fixed with LEDs and improved rear brakes by samurai liners. Using iridium plug and Motul synthetic engine oil now the bike competes with any bike of the latest new bikes but as a 2009 model. Capable off roads at an ease.

  • The beast for man

Actually, this is my second review of this great bike. The advantage of this bike is its weight of 149 kg with 6 gears.
It is said that riding this bike in a congested city like chennai is an uphill task. But the reality is just the opposite. Even in bumper-to-bumper traffic and in the 3rd gear, one can move freely. Its 4th gear is ideal for city riding. On the highway, things are really marvelous. After 4300 rpm the bike runs very smoothly.
I bought this beast in 2015 and now I have completed 82000 kms.
So far, I have replaced clutch plates, chain sprocket twice, twin throttle cable, choke cable, and clutch cables also replaced twice.
One must remember that service at the right place is absolutely necessary as far as this bike is concerned. Because spares are available only at the showrooms themselves.
Finally, suzuki motorcycle has discontinued this bike for no reason at all.
There is no other bike like this to replace with a new one.
This is the bike that has a gear shift indicator, clock, fuel gauge, tachometer, speedometer, low fuel indicator etc.
As a lover of this bike, I expect the similar one in the future from suzuki.

I have used this suzuki 150r since 2014, I feel very comfortable on riding even 90/kmph, it feels like a bullet, very honestly I spent only around 5 to 10 thousand for maintenance costs for these 8 years.
I am suzuki brand lover, suzuki should introduce more stylish office commuter bike in India.
    I am pride owner of max 100r, gs150r, access 125 bs-4, access 125 bs-6.

    Sivaramakrishnan

I've been using my gs since 2015 and I love it, despite riding it over 79000 kms I still feel comfortable. I thought of replacing my bike after 70000 kms however I couldn't find a suitable replacement for gs. Hope it is relaunched as it would definitely attract a lot of people as there seems to be a vacant space in the 150cc commuter family bike range.

    The complete bike indeed!
Buying experience was amazing. Its looks attracted me and immediately i rushed to the showroom during 2015 and booked the same. As far as riding experience is concerned, it is excellent. Its six gear ratio is very useful for city as well as in highways. Servicing is not at all an issue in Chennai city. Still I maintained the bike with servicing at showrooms only. Mileage is good. Pick up is also good. Its instrument cluster is marvelous. Yes it has gear shift indicator, fuel indicator, tachometer, clock and power and economic mode. To say in a simple sentence, it is a complete bike. Suzuki should not have discontinued this bike. I love it very much

  • Most under rated legend betrayed by their own in-service centers.

    Sam

Buying: i bought it in chennai swapna motors(not available anymore). It was awesome, good service and technicians were awesome.
Riding: this is still an awesome machine, a forgotten or most underrated legend in its class. I have had the mechanic tune it for performance and i was able to clock 123 kmph. When i restored to the factory tune, riding by the road norms i got close to 60kmpl, which is still great for any bike in its class. Till date(2021) i never experienced a gearshift so precise and smooth on many other bikes. I have done 280kms on a one-side with one pitstop and it never ran out of power or felt breathless. I would still get one if suzuki launches again.
I love the simple styling or rather elegance. For city ride and occasional touring, it should be an awesome machine. I still do not feel like switching the bike, i have tried many bikes to replace my requirement. Nah, nothing close to this in all rounder vfm.
So being a new brand(2009), just separated from tvs partnership, most people were concerned about the reliability of the gs150r. Well, what good are you, if you don't trust your instincts. Servicing is comparatively affordable by most other competitors, also the spare parts were at least available on demand, if not readily available. I have to say if the company or the showrooms gave up on it too soon. The service was good till 2010, and later it became like giving set of tools to a kid to screw your bike at your own cost. I almost died twice right after service of engine choking up(engine stalling) middle of high speed runs in highways. Now i can relate why people gripe about slipper clutch, which does not lock up the rear just like mine did.
    Pros:
    1. 6gears
    2. Silky smooth gear box
    3. Buttery smooth engine
    4. Nice choice of wheels
    5. Seat can take you distances with out stepping off it
    6. Crispy exhaust note, singing in your ears.
    7. Gear position indicator and the modes, eco and power
    Cons:
    1. Attitude of service/company
    2. Rear brakes, considering its time, it was not as bad as compared to some of them in 2021
    3. If they had released a fi version, it would be a killer, which they failed to look around, hero glamour got its fi back then

Every thing is good about this bike. I am traveling with bike for more than 10 years. I have driven 120000 kms and I am happy about this bike. Mileage is 60kms (45 to 50 speed) Service and spares are not good in Suzuki dealership. It is not available most of the times. Best stability vehicle. Very smooth engine. Maintenance also is very low. Change engine oil every 2000 kms.

Take the pickup from 40 to 122 kmph in top gear milage in n eco mode 60kmpland power mode 50kmpl

Mileage is 60kms (45 to 50 speed) Service and spares are not good in Suzuki dealership. It is not available most of the times. Best stability vehicle. Very smooth engine.

    Balaji Cs

Service it regularly at authorized service centers as Suzuki spares aren't available everywhere and ensure to put only OG spares if serviced outside.

  • The complete bike indeed!

Its a excellent bike ever, I got mileage 56/km/l, full stability bike like ambassador car. But this bike has been discontinued and it is unfortunate thing for suzuki customers. As per experience in suzuki its a far better than other two wheeler company bikes. Good pickup and mileage i have using this bike for last 7 years.

  • Good bike

Every thing is good about this bike. I am traveling with bike for more than 10 years. I have driven 120000 kms and I am happy about this bike. Mileage is 60kms (45 to 50 speed) Service and spares are not good in Suzuki dealership. It is not available most of the times. Best stability vehicle. Very smooth engine. Maintenance also is very low. Change engine oil every 2000 kms.
