The buying experience was good. the dealer was so humble. He shows me and tells me everything about the bike. He told me about its features and product details.
Riding the Apache is like riding the beast. Its power is flawless. She is so smooth and too comfortable.
The looks are just awesome and the performance is top-notch. Acceleration is super smooth.
Servicing and maintenance are good. After service, it feels like I just bought it from the dealership.
Pros are when I hold it in my hand it feels premium. The looks are too good and the performance is awesome.

    Tips for other riders

Service:-Its generally a good idea to keep the bike regularly serviced, If not at least before a long trip, especially if its 100+ kms and you’ll be on the highway a lot. Ofcourse there are lots of mechanical sheds spread all around, But those mechanics most of the time dont know what they’re doing, as there are more and more electronic parts in the bikes these days. Gear: Please, Please ensure you have proper riding gear. Its common sense to have some sort of protection whenever you ride, But its especially important when you’re riding long distance in India. Wear a helmet that’s at least ISI standard, If possible go for better standard and make sure you're ready to spend at 4–5K (if you can buy a bike that’s 80+ you can definitely afford a 5k worth helmet and it’ll save you from this little problem called being brain dead.). Additionally , Go for a riding jacket(If you can afford it) or at least a tough leather or Polyester. Make sure your arms and body are covered with something that’s tough and will save you from road rash. Also riding pants (Again, If you can afford it) or at least a tough pair of jeans coupled with a pair of boots should protect your legs and feet. Make sure you wear gloves. There are no alternatives for gloves just get a pair they shouldn’t cost more than 600–1500 if you want something that’s less pricey.

  • An all-rounder motorcycle

    Nishant Singh

    1. Buying experience: the buying experience was okay but the staffs weren't professional and they didn't knew even about basic specifications of this motorcycle. We purchased it on 10th march, 2021, when it was announced that hp version of this was launched and the staffs themselves were not aware about the same and we were assuming that it was previous version. When rc of this motorcycle was released by the rto in which it was mentioned that its power is 17.38 bhp then we were able to be sure that it was hp version.
    2. Riding experience: this motorcycle is an all-rounder motorcycle by which you can commute, go for long tours, some off-road duties because it comes with showa suspensions which are quite smooth for indian conditions and you won't be hesitant to jump upon the speed breakers while being at good speeds and also comes with good amount of ground clearance. Overall, it's smooth machine with smoothest gear shifts with some vibrations at higher revs which is still not a problem as it won't bother you in any way.
    3. Details about looks, performance, etc: looks are subjective but as per my view it looks bit muscular as we've knight black colour and its pillion grab rail gives 'batman' look which enhances its looks. Its headlight and taillight both are eye catchy especially at night and while doing night rides you don't need to worry about some blind spots as its throw is one of the best in the market be it straight, left and right you can have a complete vision from all such sides even when you're using low beam. Talking about performance, its acceleration is great in the segment and I've achieved the top speed of 139 km/h and goes till 11k rpm out of total of 12k rpm. Talking about cruising speeds, you can effortlessly cruise it at the speeds of 100-105 kmph and in that range it gives 38-40 km/l and when you're riding at the speeds of between 70-80 km/h you can easily get 49-50 km/l by which we can assume that it will give 50-55 km/l while riding economically. When i decided to go for a ride from Lucknow to pratapgarh and back then i got its fuel tank full before going for a ride and, to my surprise, my journey gone free of cost as i completed my total ride of 392 kilometers with that full tank only and when i gone to refuel it then it came upto 8 litres and by dividing i got 49 km/l and the riding range was between 70-85 kmph. I did Lucknow-delhi-Lucknow too and the seating comfort was also great as i did 525 kilometers in a go without much stress. Talking about vibrations, you will feel them only at higher revs upon foot pegs and below your seat but it won't hamper your riding experience in any way like re classic 350 (lol) which can be ridden effortlessly only upto 80 kmph only (we owned classic 350 which got resold in exchange of this motorcycle at good resale value of 1,05,000 after 4 years of its use as i maintained it well). Braking is not upto the mark because of not having enough bite and it doesn't come with radial tyres due to which i don't get enough confidence every time. For city purpose, it's quite nimble and light to go through city traffics but i'm 5'11 and my hands get pain while being for a long time but if one is upto 5'9 then it won't be a problem for him/her.
    4. Servicing and maintenance: the service was also not bad as i made up good relations with the service staffs and manager is a great person who himself assisted me in everything till date. But, make sure you read your service manual completely and they can unnecessarily change engine oil if you're not aware about when it has to be changed as it has alternative engine oil change interval (6,000 kilometers or 6 months whichever is earlier) i.e., odd and alternative services like first, third, fifth, etc, and second, fourth, etc, requires only top-up (and when ridden upto 3,000 kilometers only or 3 months whichever is earlier). When service personnel unnecessarily insisted me to get its engine oil changed then i called tvs motor company by its toll free number and the company was continuously in touch with me to help me out and, to my surprise, the service centre got to learn such lesson in no time and i'm still thankful to tvs for it's assistance and till now my service experience is going flawless.
    5. Pros and cons:
    Pros: (a). Great mileage.
    (b). Smooth suspensions.
(c). One of the best for indian conditions with good amount of ground clearance.
    (d). Lesser vibrations.
    (e). Smooth gearbox.
    (f). Comfortable single piece seat.
    (g). Good for family purpose.
    (h). Low maintenance costs.
    Cons: (a). Braking.
(b). Lacks good fit and finish.
    (c). No radial tyres.
    (d). Single channel abs.
Coming to the conclusion, this motorcycle excels in almost every aspect with some cons which are prevalent in every vehicle.

The Apache 160 4V special edition delivers a compelling package for riders seeking a blend of performance, style, and affordability. From the outset, the buying experience sets a positive tone, offering a smooth transaction that lays the groundwork for an enjoyable ownership journey. Once on the road, the bike impresses with its dynamic riding capabilities, providing a thrilling experience that satisfies the craving for adrenaline-fueled adventures.
However, a notable drawback emerges in the form of the absence of dual-channel ABS, which may raise concerns for safety-conscious riders. While the bike excels in delivering a thrilling ride, the lack of this crucial safety feature leaves a gap in an otherwise impressive package. It's a reminder that while performance is essential, safety should never be compromised.
Despite this shortcoming, the special edition variant shines in the aesthetics department, captivating onlookers with its stunning appearance. The visual appeal adds an extra layer of satisfaction to the ownership experience, enhancing the pride of ownership and turning heads wherever it goes.
One of the standout features of the Apache 160 4V special edition is its low servicing costs. This aspect provides a practical advantage, making ownership more affordable in the long run. With maintenance expenses kept in check, riders can enjoy peace of mind knowing that their investment is not only thrilling to ride but also economical to maintain.
In summary, the Apache 160 4V special edition offers a compelling proposition for riders looking for a balance of performance, style, and affordability. While the absence of dual-channel ABS may be a concern for some, the bike's dynamic riding capabilities and stunning aesthetics help offset this drawback. Coupled with its low servicing costs, it presents itself as a solid choice for riders seeking an exhilarating yet practical riding experience.

I own the 1st version of bs6 from 2020. Using it for daily ride, long ride etc. Basically for everything.
    Pros :
    1. Very good mileage (for me it's 50+). Well for this you have to do the servicing in evening 3 months.
    2. Seating posture is really good.
    3. Looks is ok.
    4. It's really fun to ride and pick up is good.
    5. Less pricey compare to another bike in this segment.
    Cons:
    1. Front brake is not good at all.
    2. Built quality is bad.
    3. Service centres are not providing good service.
    4. Chain has to be lubricated very frequently.
Otherwise vibration will be there. Which is annoying.

Service of every vehicle should be done from time to time and engine oil must be changed at every 6,000 kilometers or 6 months whichever is earlier and top-up at every 3,000 kilometers or 3 months whichever is earlier.
