The Star City Plus is part of TVS Motor Company’s commuter line-up. It has been introduced in two variants including mono tone and dual tone. The new Star City gets new features and updated styling, apart from the revised engine.
Powering the motorcycle is a 109cc, fuel-injected motor which produces 8bhp at 7,350rpm and 8.7Nm at 4,500rpm. This is a marginal drop in performance as compared to the BS4 powerplant. Transmission duties continue to be handled by a four-speed gearbox. The company claims the new Fi engine is 15 per cent more fuel efficient than its carb variant. The base model uses drum brakes on both wheels while the premium variant gets a petal-type disc brake at the front.
The motorcycle packs a bunch of features such as full LED headlamp, a USB mobile charger, five-step adjustable shock absorber at the rear and a dual-tone seat. It continues to display information on a semi-digital instrument cluster. TVS has also bestowed the Star City Plus with a fresh styling. It gets a new bikini fairing, fuel tank and rear panel, all of which lend it a sportier appeal. As for the hardware, besides the rear suspension being adjustable now, there’s also a disc brake variant available now.
The BS6 TVS Star City Plus goes against the Hero Splendor iSmart and the Passio Pro.

Bought it in Aug 2021 bs6 the bike is best in mileage and better in pickup than the Hero Splendor 100. You can feel only one problem that is the brakes. If you are riding at 50 + it is difficult to control any lightweight bike abruptly. overall for those who have to run 20 km plus every day The bike is for them. Value of money and performance. Don't ride over hilly areas with more than 2 people. This bike is for ages when you ride it without thinking of it as a Royal Enfield.

The TVS Star City Plus offers a great balance of style, comfort, and efficiency. Buying it was hassle-free, and the bike excels in city commuting with its lightweight, smooth handling, and ergonomic design. It’s powered by a reliable 109.7cc engine, providing decent performance and excellent mileage. Maintenance is low-cost, with easy access to service centers and spare parts. While it’s not the most powerful bike for highway rides and lacks advanced features, it’s a stylish, budget-friendly option for daily urban use.

A 26 year experience of this bike.

TVS had a winner on their hands in the Victor more than a decade ago. The Star City was a study in its kinship when launched way back in 2005. The latter too was what all a small-capacity commuter motorcycle is supposed to be in India – frugal and comfortable for everyday use, clockwork reliability, low ownership cost, acceptable aesthetics, and a good service network of a known brand. The TVS Star City + is the next evolution of the Star City and the ‘plus’ here, on closer scrutiny, does live up to its name. It was put on static display at the Auto Expo 2014 but it was only now that we had the opportunity of riding this new machine at TVS’s Hosur facility test track and came away quite impressed.

A Middle Class Happy Ride: TVS Star City Plus

1. Buying experience:Seamless Buying experience at Rajput TVS Gadarwara outlet. Hassel is free and easily available on all TVS models.2. Riding experience: It's been 7 years of buying it and still feels like a 1-2 year old. just because used by a single owner only and time to time service and maintenance 3. Details about looks, performance, etc.:I'm using the older 1st generation variant of TVS Star City which still looks muscular and eye-catching bike.4. Servicing and maintenance:Service at the dealership during the first 3 years and then a local mechanic is a good choice for lite services because the dealership may cost more and due to the high volume of customers there are chances you may deal with less hospitalization for your bike at the service center.Just to keep in mind whenever the limit Is reached kindly change the Oil, Air Filter, majorly for a seamless riding experience.5. Pros and Cons:Pros- Pickup, Self Start, Seat length and width are both perfect & comfortable. The headlight is bright enough for dark roads. Cons-Company-fitted TVS tires are very bad in quality I got 5+ punctures in the very first year. The bike is light in weight so whenever riding at high speed it may be impossible to break at the desired distance.Service notification keeps blinking all the time after service as well. The major concern is missing front DRL or small road presence lights on the front of the bike as the competition is having nicely.
