I have been using this bike for more than 2.5 years for daily commutes. Almost 20,000 km completed till now. It's very fun to ride a motorcycle.
Pros are its powerful engine and mesmerizing looks,
The top speed is 155+ I have only tried it once.
The only con is that it is not for long rides. It hurts your back a bit.

  • Pocket-rocket clocks upto 164kmhr on gps. But got a slower low end torque.

    Prithish Kr Singh

The plot in short:- the bike is nimble and easy to ride, the front suspension is on the stiffer side since it improves cornering, the rear suspension got 6 steps damping settings, the low-end torque is insanely fun and the top end hovers around 162-164 km/hr max on gps ...Which in my opinion is an overkill since it reduces bike's efficiency and longevity, ground clearance is a headache for Indian roads since the illegal speed breakers collide with the beneath surface where the heat pipes reside, a certain type of issue increases the exposure towards dents and cracks on the pipeline. And the seat height is too much for the average Indian buyer with a shorter height, which in my case is negligible. The slipper clutch is soft and easy to use, and the resistance against the grip done by the clutch lever is almost null by the clutch leaver while pulling it for gear shiftings. Packed with a complete led setup for every unit(signal lights, drls, headlamps, rear stop light) on the bike. The fuel tank doesn't have enough volume which is a con in my opinion and is not suitable for long rides, while the posture doesn't allow you to do so at the same time, so never mind. Abs and breaking are top-tier, but the brake pads tend to heat up quickly, so it's better to add ceramic brake pads and replace the stock ones for better braking bite power and stability, during high speeds the stability lacks a little bit unlike other bikes within the same range, and you might need an anti-tank slapper to prevent high-speed crashes. But still, a skilled rider could go away with it...
Pros:-design, performance, stability, maneuverability, braking, completely led setup, dual channel byebre abs, wp apex suspension(which is better than the vanilla wp suspension), slipper clutch, smooth transmission.
Cons:-seat height, ground clearance, shifting rod jamming, lack of ceramic brake pads small fuel tank, weird-looking mirrors and grab rail.

  • Best bike in quarter litre category under 3 lakhs

    Rahul Priyadarshi

I got my hands on vitpilen after the lockdown before this I was planning to buy duke 250 but it was delayed so I went for vitpilen and believe me i'm glad that I went for Vitpilen, it looks amazing and it has proper cafe racer looks and it is lighter than duke 250 with the kerb weight of 151 kg making it more powerful due to better power to the weight ratio.
The clip on handle bars gives you the feel of a proper cafe racer and makes the rider more engaged to the bike giving you more control over bike and better stability at higher speeds and best of all awesome cornering capabilities. You get all the features that a duke 250 gets and it has best looking led indicator which is so bright its clearly visible even on brightest sunlight.
Vitpilen 250 produces 31bhp of power as compared to duke 250 which is 30 bhp although both bikes share the same engine. If you're planning to buy a 250cc bike which is value for money just go for it. In short terms this is ktm rc 250 with no fairings.
    Pros:
Powerful 250 cc single cylinder dohc engine with liquid cooling.
    All led lights setup.
    Gets slipper clutch.
    Switchable abs(super moto mode)
Clip on handle bars gives you more control.
Inverted telescopic front forks and rear monoshock suspension by wp gives best in class stability.
Lots of power surge after 7000 rpm even at higher speeds.
Bybre disc brakes with dual channel abs gives good byte and braking is really good.
Very nice feedback from engine braking( I rarely use brakes engine braking is enough to slow down the bike).
Liquid cooling is great it never lets engine get too hot.
Tyres are good provides good grip in wet and dry conditions.
Fuel tank is 9.5 litres same as ktm rc.
    Cons:
    Ground clearance is very low.
Seat height is 842 mm which is same as ktm adventure series.(it's not suitable for short riders).
Some wires are visible, could have been better if it's managed well.
    Panel gaps are inappropriate.
