2019 Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled launch photo gallery

Ducati has launched the 2019 models of its Scrambler range of motorcycles in India. The line-up consists of four versions including the Icon, Full Throttle, Café Racer and the Desert Sled. The motorcycle has received a few styling updates and the new, red-painted frame is the most prominent addition. It gives the motorcycle a bolder look.

The headlamp section is now equipped with bright LED DRLs while the mesh guard adorning it gives the bike a rugged appeal. 

To upgrade the fully-digital instrument cluster of the 2019 Scrambler models, Ducati has now added a fuel gauge and gear position indicator, along with other basic information in the display. 

The motorcycle has also received updated switchgear with enhanced quality and the brake and clutch levers are adjustable on the new version.

The seat of the 2019 Desert Sled has also been redesigned in order to be more comfortable and to provide the rider more room to move around.

Being an off-road-inclined model, this variant features a long-travel suspension setup. The front gets USD forks with 200mm of travel while the rear gets a monoshock with the same amount of travel. Both are sourced by Kayaba. 

The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels which are shod with Pirelli Scorpian Rally tyres to provide it enhanced grip, on or off the road.

Powering the Scrambler range is the unchanged 803cc, L-twin, air-cooled motor which produces 73bhp at 8250rpm and 67Nm at 5750rpm. This unit comes mated to a six-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch.

The Ducati Scrambler Desert Sled has been priced at Rs 9.93 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Looking at its styling and purpose, the bike competes against the Triumph Street Scrambler.
