2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS: Details Explained

Kawasaki has updated its Japanese portfolio with the launch of the 2024 Z900 RS. The 2023 model is already available for sale in India, and thus, we expect to see the new version on our shores in the near future. While we await an India launch date for the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS, here we explain the top details of this motorcycle.

What styling changes does the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS get?

The styling changes are limited to the addition of a new colour option to this retro-style motorcycle. The 2024 model gets a new Yellow Ball paint that brings a dual-tone finish to the fuel tank and the tail panel. Here, the fuel tank features yellow paint on the sides and black colour on the top. Meanwhile, the black-coloured tail panel features yellow stripes. Other than that, the design remains unaltered, and the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS retains a round headlight, a twin-pod instrument cluster with an LCD screen, a tear drop-shaped fuel tank, a step-up seat, a side-slung exhaust, and 17-inch alloy wheels on both ends.

What are the mechanical specifications of the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS?

Similar to the design, the mechanical specifications remain unaltered as well. Thus, the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS retains the 948cc, inline four-cylinder, liquid-cooled motor. Linked to a six-speed gearbox, this engine delivers a maximum output of 110bhp at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 98.5Nm at 6,500rpm.

What features does the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS get?

The feature list comprises full-LED lighting and a semi-digital instrument cluster. The cockpit displays an analogue speedometer and tachometer, while the rest of the readouts such as the fuel gauge, gear position indicator, odometer, and trip meter are available on the digital display. Further, the electronic rider aids comprise dual-channel ABS and a traction control system.

What hardware does the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS use?

The motorcycle is built around a trellis frame and uses upside-down front forks and a rear mono-shock to handle the shock absorption tasks. Then, the braking setup includes 300mm twin discs at the front and a 250mm single disc at the rear. It boasts a 17-litre fuel tank and tips the weighing scale at 215kg.

What is the price of the 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS?

The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS has been launched in the Japanese market at JPY 14,20,000 (approximately Rs. 8.25 lakh). In comparison, the 2023 model is available at Rs. 16.47 lakh in India and we expect the 2024 model to arrive in the same price range. The 2024 Kawasaki Z900 RS rivals the Triumph Bonneville T100 and the Speed Twin in our market.
