Triumph has unveiled a special edition of its Bonneville T120 in India. It gets the DGR (Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride) tag and will go on sale very soon. The bike has already made its debut, and here’s what we know about it.
Triumph will manufacture only 250 units of the Bonneville T120 DGR for the entire world. The number of units allocated for India hasn’t been revealed yet. While 25 units will head to the UK, the remaining will be sold to different markets. Only one unit with the number 001 will be sold to the highest fundraiser for the 2023 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride. The highlight of this edition is the two-tone paint scheme of metallic black over white. This colour combination is complemented by a hand-painted golden stripe on the side panels and fuel tank, with the DGR logo on the sides.
It features the same 1200cc parallel twin engine dishing out 80bhp and 105Nm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox nestled in a tubular double-cradle frame. For the rider aids, the Triumph Bonneville T120 gets ABS, traction control, and cruise control. It rides on telescopic front forks and pre-load adjustable dual-rear shocks. The braking hardware consists of dual 310mm front discs and a single 255mm rear disc. This entire setup is mounted on an 18-inch front and a 17-inch rear tyre wrapped in a 100/90 front and 150/70 rear tyre.
Triumph has priced the standard T120 Bonneville at Rs. 11.09 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). We expect the DGR Special Edition to cost a little more since it’s a limited-run model.
