KTM is set to launch the latest generation of the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke in the US very soon. These will be manufactured at the Chakan-based Bajaj plant and exported to the American market.
For 2023, both, the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke have received massive updates. The Austrian duo features new styling, which is more aggressive than before but also radical compared to the previous generation and the competition. The fuel tank looks beefier and the seat is spacious but has less room than before. The rear frame has also been altered on the new KTM 250 390 Dukes.
Powering the new KTM 390 Duke is a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that makes 46bhp at 8,000rpm and 39Nm at 6,500rpm. It is linked to a six-speed gearbox and benefits from a slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. On the other hand, the quarter-litre Duke uses a 249cc motor that belts out 31bhp and 25Nm. It, too, gets a six-speed gearbox and a quickshifter.
On the feature front, the new 390 Duke comes with a TFT with smartphone connectivity, ride modes, ABS modes, LED illumination, navigation, and traction control. It rides on adjustable front forks and a rear monoshock. The 250 Duke is equipped with an LCD and uses regular front forks and a rear shock.
The asking price for the new KTM 250 Duke in India is Rs. 2.39 lakh, while the 390 Duke retails at Rs. 3.10 lakh (both, ex-showroom Delhi).
