Bajaj CT 125X Review

  • Good Things

    • Gets utilitarian looks
    • 125cc engine offers decent performance
    • Cheap after sales service
  • Could be Better

    • Engine isn’t refined as some bikes
    • Overall quality could have been better

BikeWale's Take

The CT125X is an entry-level motorcycle from Bajaj that is primarily targeted at rural customers. The motorcycle gets rugged and utilitarian styling and when combined with that 125cc engine that offers good torque, the bike gets practical. But the overall quality isn’t up to the mark.

Bajaj CT 125X Expert Opinion

Bajaj launched the CT125X in India a few months and it became the most affordable 125cc motorcycle in the market. The new CT125X is aimed at buyers looking for durability and utility while commuting long distances throughout the day. And during our short stint with the CT125X, we tried to find out whether it can live up to the tagline and had what it takes to be a reliable commuter or has the quest for a low asking price affected the overall package.

Only 50 kmpl mileage for this bike

      A Rangarajan

The seat is made broad near the petrol tank end. It should have been narrow for feet to reach both sides. Whatever your height is, you can put your feet on one side only. This bike has only 50kmpl mileage, which is very low for a new bike. My old Pulsar 135 even after using it for 13 years gave me 55 kmpl. I have gear issues on 4th gear. I have to press it hard to lock in fourth gear, otherwise, the engine revolution goes up but loses speed. In an earlier bike I owned, I could ride at 25 kmph in high gear. In this bike, you have to gear down to 2nd to negotiate crowded areas. If you are at low speed and in 4/5th gear you don't get power. The pickup is also very slow. I have been using it since December 2023.

A Reliable Performance, Comforts, and value of the BajajCT125X

      Govind Reddy

      It's a value-for-money commuter with a 123.4cc engine, delivering around 10.9bhp and excellent mileage of 55-65 km/l.
It's designed for daily commuters, offering a comfortable ride with features like telescopic suspension, comfortable riding positioned seating, and a 5-speed gearbox.
Design-wise it looks rugged more scrambler-style elements like dual-purpose tires, a headlamp grille, and a strong crash guard adding to its sturdy appeal.
And while it lacks advanced tech, it provides essential features like LED DRLS and CBS.

The bike has excellent features and is very good for riding in the city.
The mileage is also getting good up to 60, lights and speed, engine all are okay.
But when it is running, the engine suddenly gets off. I showed it to the service center and many other service centers but they did not clear the problem.
it is only a minus point for this bike, the rest of all has excellent features.
