1. Buying experience simple . I made a cash payment so within 1 hr everything is done and i can ride home without any trouble.2. Riding experience. As i used everyday for long journey roughly 70 km daily. In the beginning the engine temperature become too hot after 3 month it become smooth . Sit is comfortable for a small family .3. Looks is good and shape is perfectly design, not that heavy , performance i want to give 5 star specially mileages which i really love it. Full tank i usually can drive more than 550 km without any trouble. With a twin plug it is quite convenience for long ride.4. Service and maintenance cost is minimum so far. Parts are cheap and easily available. Sometime i forget to do servicing for 5-6 month however not effect so far.Pros and cons 1. Chain is the main issue in the bike i bought the price in 2014 june now i change 3 time the chain already, which can be improved by bajaj in the later stage . It get loose easily.2. Engine become so cool during cold season sometime its really difficult to get engine start in time of emergency. Though the chalk is the advantage.3. Tyre i modify the back tired into tubeless the speed decreased a bit however, still the performance is perfect.Above all it is a best budgeted family bike from my experience specially for me, hope you enjoy riding too.

  • Discover 125m disc - bike for real indians

    Arindam Chakraborty

I bought Discover 125m disc version in 2014. This bike has given 67 mileage per liter. Although it is 8 years old now but still when I ride this bike it shows me the real power of bajaj. Presently 55 kmp/l is its current mileage. For the last 9 years, I only change its engine oil and disc brakes, and battery with tires only. Truly, it is a high 125cc pickup bike. Eagerly i am waiting for Discovery 125m disc new edition to buy.

We bought this 125M drum model 2014 since then i looked at it like it's my own family member.I loved this bike it looks a little aggressive and sporty. I have learned biking on it's old model with that ugly round shaped headlamp that doesn't looks great and those models when started giving service demand it never ended. but with this model being launched I took a chance trusting something new and I gladly can say until now it never disappointed us mileage when it was new it reached 65 kmpl above and their was a time it touched 75 kmpl. Depends on usage we have almost done 70000km. The power delivery is not instant at lower RPM but when it reaches top it pulls good top speed done 98_103(2016) 103(2017) 117(2019). It relaunched this year I was expecting the same looks but unfortunately that round headlamps one I don't like.
CONS:-Taking it normally it starts vibrating at 60KM/PH.
Chain strikes the chain cover only this issue is prevalent.
overall it's perfect at this price looks and performance..

    1. Buying experience, 2. Riding experience, 3. Details looks, performance etc.

First of all, i am belong from Delhi. As you are aware of traffic in metro cities. I belong from a middle-class family. I don't have an own bike, i have one family bike tvs star. So usually don't get the bike on the time in need. So i was doing the job from 2 years so i called my brother to buy pulsar bike 150cc and we go to our near bajaj dealer on next day to my birthday. I love the pulsar 150cc, but my brother suggests me to buy discover 125cc model. So i think 15/20 min and we had discussed. Then i finally bought discover 125cc. It has been 2+ year of experience in bajaj is amazing. The best part is look, average, and performance etc what i like about it.

    5. Pros and cons

Pros - look, average, mid-range best bike, performance.

Cons - the one thing i would like to change about it. It's alloy wheels, which look cheaper it needs to be changed.

Style the bike is simple & looks good.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox engine performance is good.

Ride quality & handling at speeds 40kmph or more the bike starts to wobble. It seems some backward force prevents the bike to speed up. This is the case with the new bike with its first free service already done.

    Pros

    style, handling

    cons

the bike wobbles at speeds close to 50kmph. It seems the ride is not smooth.

  • Awsome gift for the students

    Ritobroto Upadhyay

Style itz a great gift from bajaj especially for the students..And also for office workers. Starting from the headlight it can focus nearly about 250n to 300 mtrs clearly same as that of hunk.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox comming over to the engine performance. If ridden within the city beyond 50km/hr then no problem but if driven on highways. Above 60km/hr. With single or dual persons a kind. Resistance wil b felt..And after riding it for continuosly for about 45 t0 50km a kind of tiredness from the bike is felt...And the intrest of riding the bike will decrease.

Fuel econonmy is awsome, it gives around 65km/litre. If driven between 40 to 60km/hr, dere alwys a proble in shifting gears especially while shifting it up.

Ride quality & handling riding quality suks after 30 to 40 kms. And frequent servising is needed say about in everry. 4000Kms..Or else..The mileage, goes down.

Final words if you love taking ur bikes long drives say 60 to 70 km in a day...Den dont go for it. U wil regret. Otherwise itz an masterpeice within city limits. And plz...Try to overcome the saying...That bajaj bikes dont have resale values.

Areas of improvement do improve the engine quality i mean make it more rigid for long drives the bike is a bit light. Make it a bit heavy. So that it sustains at higher speed and the chain spoket needs improvement.

  • Best till date

    Pranjal

I bought this bike on 2nd may 2014 and till date have completed 250 kms. U won't believe but rear suspensions are awesome. U will not feel any bump sitting there. Bike is somewhat light weight but 125 kgs is also good. Gears are smooth and mileage is 69km in bhubaneswar city. I know this is unbelievable but bajaj is bajaj when it comes to mileage. This is when we two people (me and my cousin) of total weight 160 kgs are going to our office daily. If you drive it as per companies recommendation of 71 kgs you may get 71-72 in the city. The best way to measure this is to fill the fuel tank with 70 rupees of petrol (because petrol is 70rs /litre here)just after getting reserve for the first time. My bajaj dealers are also not believing that a bike can give only 7 kmpl less than the company's claim. But no one can give you such a detailed review on mileage. Moreover i live in the outskirts where roads are not very good and have to run almost 1/4th of my total journey in 2nd and 3rd gear.

If you want to get the same mileage please run first 500-600 kms at a speed of 40-45 kmph otherwise u will never get this mileage in the whole lifetime of the bike. Don't accelarate too much till first 2 servicings and please control your emotions while accelarating.1-2 Kmpl will surely increase after 2nd-3rd servicings.Just follow this steps and its my guarantee that you will get a mileage between 65-70 kmpl in city.

On first 2 days, i was feeling like, i am riding some 100cc bike but after completing 40-50kms, excellent power is getting generated from the engine. They have also tuned the engine and now even at a speed of 20-25kmph, 3rd gear isn't create problems like previous bajaj bikes.

Style and agronomics are just perfect because you sit in a 90 degree posture which is excellent for your backbone.

Don't compare it with 150cc bikes as their engine are bit powerful than 125cc. But overall this is the best bike in this 55k range (on road).
