    Akash Soni

Style instant pick the best in its category.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox smoother than 200ns and less noise.

Ride quality & handling power pack performance, if you have not ride a faired bike it will take a while to get confidence. But it wont let you down in either speed and control as it balances well. You want to ride more and more and still you would be less satisfied with it as you want to explore further. Its a head turner on roads and you wont regret it.

Final words sporty and compact. In its budget the best one i found till date.

Areas of improvement not required at all. The best in its class.

    Pros

Style gurrentied its a head turner bike.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox its a powerful bike with very good performance, gaearbox is not so smooth and nvh levels are not so good, but it is much smoother then 200ns. Fuel economy is also very good, she will return around 40.

Ride quality & handling handling is very good. Ride quality is not so good, as discussed above about the nvh levels.

Final words a very good buy for 95k. A very descent styling and can gurentee a lot of head turners. Surely i will update this review after riding more of my bike. This review is based on 100km of riding the bike.

Style looks like an adventure monster.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox gearbox is too smooth, mileage is not up to the mark but good for 200c bug.

Ride quality & handling omg its jst awesome. When u rev up ur speed at a certain speed then u hold the clutch , its gives an awesome experience. U will feel that u r flyin in air.

Final words at last i want to say its jst an awesome bike for a 200cc bug.

Areas of improvement exhaust system should be changed because its too smooth which most of the riders dont like it, its exhaust system should be like 200rs & abs system should be given for a 200cc beast.

    Pros

headlight section is awesome looks like an adventure monster

    cons

its exhaust sound is too smooth it should be like 200rs

  • Pulsar as 200- an adventure sadly discontinued!!

    Mohit Akasi

The pulsar as 200, "as for adventure sport" is an all rounder bike. Being an owner of one for a year and 20000 km on the odo, i guess i can do justice to review this bike. Even after 300km of office use on weekdays, the bike is hassle free to take on the highways immediately.

Sadly enough, bajaj has discontinued this great bike, hoping they re-launch with fuel injection and abs.

    Pros:

Rev friendly 23.5bhp engine-be it everyday commutes or long weekend rides this bike takes it up all in its stride.

My everyday office commute involves 60 km,mixture of bumper to bumper traffic and an open highway.Weekend rides begin with a tank up and some chain lube, then this bike is all go for the highway.

Headlight-low beam projector is a hoot at night, excellent throw of light.

Handling- perimeter frame can test your cornering skills, inquisitive enough to take the racing line at almost every corner(not safe to test on public roads). The underbelly exhaust also keeps the mass centralized, which boosts cornering confidence.

Tall windscreen visor- even though it is not adjustable, the windscreen visor helps to plough through triple digit speeds.

    Cons:

Tires- the hard compound irc tyres are built to last, but ruin the confidence to corner aggressively.

Body panel gaps- after about 5000km one can notice new tunes emanating from the plastic body panels.

Better heat decimation- the bike tends to heat up significantly in slow moving traffic(not as much as a duke/rc390) and the radiator fan blows the hot air onto the riders legs.

Soft rear-stiff front suspension combo is a spoilsport over bumpy roads.

The pulsar as 200 was identical to the pulsar 200 ns in all other ways but bajaj discontinued the latter for obvious reasons. The pulsar ns200 is now back which means the as 200 has to go. The pulsar as 150 has been discontinued too and we suspect that's because the 150 ns too will be axed as bajaj has made the 160 ns.

  • AS200 - pulsar that brought the adventurer in me!

    Jeyaraman A

    1. Buying experience was not so good with jai krishna bajaj coimbatore. Waited for red as200 and got it! very happy to get it. Went to pick up my bike with all my gears (alpinestars!).

    2. Excellent ride dynamics. Stiff suspension is very good for cornering. The scrapers in foot pegs (scraped it so many times!) provided because it gives that much lean angle! the wind shield given excellent wind protection. I am not a fast ride but have ridden it around 120 kmph tucking into the shield. After 7500 rpm it gives an excellent surge in all the gears, clocked around 11 seconds to reach 100! when on 5th gear after 90 kmph it can reach 110 kmph very quickly. Excellent bite for the breaks. Though the stock tires were a let down i immediately replaced those with michelin 110/140 upgrades after i crossed 1000 kms. So with nice tires it gives an excellent stoppage power.

    3. I liked the half fairing looks very much. But not for everyone. The red color i chose is excellent choice after blue. So i definitely had so many on lookers when i ride it daily to office!!

    4. I regularly services it on par with the book. Service cost comes around 600 rupees when on paid service. The service guys in jaikrishna bajaj coimbatore are very good. They listen to me calmly and did an excellent service every time. They provided a good cushioned seat cover.

    5. Overall bike is very good in performance, engine, style. But i had a very sore back because of very hard seats. Not good for long rides. So as mentioned earlier put a cushion which helped much. Main con for me is mileage. I was told that old ns200 was giving more than 45 to 50 mileage. But for daily commute (for which i used to keep my rpm between 5000 to 8000) i only get 32+. Only in long highway rides i get 40+.

I am very happy with my beauty as200!! though i see new big bikes getting released in India everyday i feel this as200 power is adequate to quench my adventuring thirst!! love pulsar!!

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox its a powerful bike with very good performance, gaearbox is not so smooth and nvh levels are not so good, but it is much smoother then 200ns. Fuel economy is also very good, she will return around 40.

  • The best gift for pulsarites
