I have purchased it by accident. I have never even properly test driven it. Initial 2000 km was nice but gradually its vibration and poor front suspension made the ride miserable. It is a very good looking bike with decent brakes and power of 23 bhp. Bike makes a lot of vibration in 3k-5k. Handle vibration with poor suspension make the ride deplorable in off road and normal Indian roads. I have serviced almost at 4 different service centers, but the result was same. Not a single one have provided decent service and also the labour charges were so high. Pros consist of its looks, high end power and riding position. Cons consists of mainly the engine and console vibration, build quality, suspension especially front with low suspension travel.
Awesome bike.

Bike is just amazing. The cons are :1.Vibration of fairing.2.It is not a adventure bike in real because it's not good for off-roads as suspension is on the stiffer side.3.Availabilty of parts. Parts are not available easily in service centers and also in local market.Pros are 1.Bike is super catchy because of its aggressive looks and heavy body everyone looks cool on this bike. 2.Engine is so powerful in 200cc segment.3.Overall bike is awesome.

The pulsar as 200 was identical to the pulsar 200 ns in all other ways but bajaj discontinued the latter for obvious reasons. The pulsar ns200 is now back which means the as 200 has to go. The pulsar as 150 has been discontinued too and we suspect that's because the 150 ns too will be axed as bajaj has made the 160 ns.

Bajaj's motorcycles and services are hard luck

I purchased this motorcycle for adventure tour to hill area and weekend tour. It was good to 3000 km but after that it started to vibrate a lot with some awkward noise, after 6000 km or 1.5 year it's condition became pathetic. Spare parts of this bike are also not available in most of the showroom or service station. One has to order the parts online but delivery charges on that is too high i.E i had ordered 4 screw and washer of rs. 41 for which i had to pay 300 extra for delivery charges making it to total rs 341. We had 6-7 bajaj bikes but all the bike owners of my family shifted to other brand except me though my bike is 3 yrs old. I will also shift to another good brand by saying good bye to bajaj for ever.

I bought this bike from the bajaj authorised centre with proper riding knowledge
Experience is good, brakes are excellent, smooth especially when someone heavier weight sitting in your back seat, @the speed of 100-120km/hr no vibration
Looks is fine
I do service my bike outside after free service, prefer the most trusted person who knows in and out of bikes functionality
Low cost maintenance compare with yamaha & tvs

Far from perfect but you can’t expect more for the price

I just laid down 96000 rupees on a vespa sxl125 and that in no small measure has to do with my experience owning and riding the pulasar as200 over the past two and half years. The lack of utility and the heavy nature of the bajaj meant i needed something easier for the city and with lots of storage to boot. It’s also when i realised how much bang one gets for ones buck with the pulsar. It cost just a shade under 110000 wen new. For ones hard earned money, one gets a liquid cooled 200 with a perimeter frame, front and rear discs and an overall sturdy and stylish motorcycle especially in red ,where it looks a bit like a baby ducati multistrada.
Fuel economy has hovered around the 38kmpl mark with mixed riding. Strong points are rock solid straight line stability and decent handling again limited from being excellent by the soft front end that dives and gets out of shape on hills and dips under hard braking.Keep a smooth line and brake progressively and the perimeter frame shows it’s talents ,making this quite an enjoyable ride. Sore points include ridiculously long levers which hurt the wrist over an hours drive. Switch to aftermarket shorty levers fixes this, and the incessant vibration in the 4000 to 5000 rpm range, which is where it mostly is under normal commuting.
Get aggressive with the riding style though and it transforms entirely, the engine smoother out nicely the faster it revs and the chassis encourages you to ride it hard. It’s a good ride for intercity runs of about 200 km, in the city it’s competent as long as it isn’t subject to stop go traffic and taking a quick turn in this is next to impossible . It feels distinctly top heavy like most pulsars. Things that i would love to see added include a slip and assist clutch and some fix for those vibes please!!!.

Actually my baby was a surprise birthday gift from my brother (19-06-2015). My brother gave an old phone box-inside an old non working phone was their.By removing the i saw a bike key named pulsar. It's a wonderful & powerful bike for our economy. Servicing & maintenance are awesome. Whenever i feel sad i'll just start her & i'll g for a ride, she gives me a confidence.Bikes are meant to be companion,23.17 hp means a lot to economy riders. It will also help us for a basic wheelie.I took as 200 & my friend bought rs 200. Both are adrenaline rushing machines, as 200, bajaj is telling as top speed is 136 km/h, but i am telling she'll even rush at 153 km/h(this is my top speed). Rs 200 also company's speed is 140 km/h, but we can get her at 158 km/h(max)..... Only draw back of our new venture dominar -lack of hp... Front lamps are awesome,no words for the design of vehicle...
as 200 - i own this more than 2 years...

Pulsar as 200- an adventure sadly discontinued!!
Mohit Akasi
The pulsar as 200, "as for adventure sport" is an all rounder bike. Being an owner of one for a year and 20000 km on the odo, i guess i can do justice to review this bike. Even after 300km of office use on weekdays, the bike is hassle free to take on the highways immediately.
Sadly enough, bajaj has discontinued this great bike, hoping they re-launch with fuel injection and abs.
Pros:
Rev friendly 23.5bhp engine-be it everyday commutes or long weekend rides this bike takes it up all in its stride.
My everyday office commute involves 60 km,mixture of bumper to bumper traffic and an open highway.Weekend rides begin with a tank up and some chain lube, then this bike is all go for the highway.
Headlight-low beam projector is a hoot at night, excellent throw of light.
Handling- perimeter frame can test your cornering skills, inquisitive enough to take the racing line at almost every corner(not safe to test on public roads). The underbelly exhaust also keeps the mass centralized, which boosts cornering confidence.
Tall windscreen visor- even though it is not adjustable, the windscreen visor helps to plough through triple digit speeds.
Cons:
Tires- the hard compound irc tyres are built to last, but ruin the confidence to corner aggressively.
Body panel gaps- after about 5000km one can notice new tunes emanating from the plastic body panels.
Better heat decimation- the bike tends to heat up significantly in slow moving traffic(not as much as a duke/rc390) and the radiator fan blows the hot air onto the riders legs.
Soft rear-stiff front suspension combo is a spoilsport over bumpy roads.

As an owner.. I really love this bike
