Bajaj Pulsar N150 Summary

Price: Bajaj Pulsar N150 price for its variant - Pulsar N150 Single Disc starts at Rs. 1,24,734. The price for the other variant - Pulsar N150 Twin Disc is Rs. 1,25,725. The mentioned Pulsar N150 prices are the average ex-showroom.

Bajaj Pulsar N150 is a street bike available in 2 variants and 2 colours. The Bajaj Pulsar N150 is powered by 149.68cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 14.3 bhp and a torque of 13.5 Nm. With front disc and rear drum brakes, Bajaj Pulsar N150 comes up with anti-locking braking system.

The Pulsar N150 is Bajaj’s latest 150cc bike in the Indian market. It’s sold alongside the Pulsar P150, N160, and the Pulsar 150.

The Pulsar N150 borrows its design elements from the N160 and hence gets the same fascia. It comprises a centre-set LED projector light flanked by DRLs on the side. Then, the N150’s sharp-looking fuel tank with cuts and creases appears similar to the one we see on the N160. Bajaj will offer the new Pulsar N150 in three colours – Racing Red, Ebony Black, and Metallic Pearl White.

It gets features like LED illumination and a semi-digital instrument console with readouts like the speedometer, odometer, trip meter, fuel level indicator, clock, and more. Then, the safety features comprise a single-channel ABS and a side-stand cut-off sensor.

Powering the new Pulsar N150 is a 149.6cc single-cylinder engine. It develops 14.5bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.5Nm at 6,000rpm. The motor is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Pulsar N150 makes the same power and torque as the Pulsar P150.

Bajaj has equipped the N150 with telescopic front forks and dual rear suspension. It gets a 260mm front disc and a 130mm rear drum brake mounted on 17-inch wheels. These come shod with 90/90 front and 120/70 rear tyres.

The Bajaj Pulsar N150’s pricing during its launch was Rs. 1,17,134 (ex-showroom, Delhi). It rivals the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Suzuki Gixxer, and the Hero Xtreme 160R in this segment.

Bajaj Pulsar N150 Review

  • Good Things

    • Overall styling is quite nice
    • Powered by a proven 150cc engine
    • Affordable to maintain
  • Could be Better

    • Quality of parts could have been better
    • Vibrations at higher revs

BikeWale's Take

The new Pulsar N150 is Bajaj’s answer to entry-level premium commuters. The bike gets styling from the bigger Pulsars and that makes it look quite nice. The overall performance and riding capabilities of the bike are quite good too. But the quality of plastics could have been better.

There's no point in having good mileage, speed, or comfort when this bike could be started without a key. I purchased this bike 2 months back, I have good experience with it. But 2 weeks back my bike was stolen. On the CCTV footage, I noticed how easily the robber turned the handle lock with his bare hands and started the bike by joining some entangled wires. It hardly took him 2 minutes to start the bike without a key. The dealer must inform the consumers that this bike could be started without keys.

This bike is value for money. Anybody can maintain easily in this price range so many features compared with other bikes, like Bluetooth connectivity twin discs attractive good mileage, and good performance long tours are also handled easily, and service points are everywhere. I want to explain that the headlight plays a major role in this bike's all-attractive look head light and night Times easy to go anywhere the LED light range is good it's, it gives (mt 15) bike feel in this price range.

      Overall designed beautifully

      Rajesh Sahoo

Value for money! Good looking bike with ease of riding for both driver and pillion. Mileage is also good for the 150 CC segment. The exhaust note is also superb catching nearby people's attention. The bike doesn't vibrate at higher speeds, which is very good. Overall designed beautifully. The cons that I observe are after riding a long distance, my hands feel a little tired due to the engine's exhaustion sound and the turning angle of the handle of the bike could have been extended for ease of making U-turns on the street. Also, the looks of the headlight could have been better. But you won't regret purchasing this bike.

      Worst sensors

      Kumar Shivam

I bought this bike feeling that the best bike it is. But a week later of buying it, I was tired of its sensors. First speedometer stopped working, then after a few days side stand kill switch was triggered automatically, and then I got it corrected. Then again it started troubling, from the next hour of getting the kill switch corrected from the showroom workshop.

      Pulsar N150

Worst engine... Vibration at engine... The mileage is not 47km.. it is bull shit 41 kmpl maximum... Moves very hard... It is better to avoid buying n150. Showroom people tell you 48kmpl to sell and later during service, they say that drive at 50 km per hour for mileage sir. Waste bike brothers. Overall I suggest not buying the pulsar n150.
