    Buying experience-
bad.. as the bike was not available at my place pune and i had to go n buy it from other city.
I rode it 300 kms on 1st day itself from that city to my place. I have ridden many superbikes for such a stretch but this bike is awesome on ride quality n suspension. No pains at all, neither up the back nor below it (u know what i mean..) unlike R3 and ninja 300 who have dedicated track riding stance and track focused stiff uncomfortable suspension.
    Ride -
Many riders say its not a track tool, etc etc.
How many of 150 crore Indians get to ride on tracks... So why worry whether its a track tool or no ..
90 percent of our life we ride in non-track city conditions and for that this bike is a superb handler. Just think how convenient it is to ride a city touring bike having ABS specially when there are a 100s of over-smart drivers and adamant walkers crossing the road or turning without any signalling, indication or even hand gestures. I think that's what counts. A powerful 38 bhp city tourer with front dual disc ABS.
And for speed lovers, track warriors and experienced critics here are some stats -
R3 weighs 169 kg and tops at 175 kmph
Ninja 300 weighs 172 kg and tops at 175 kmph
302R weighs 198 kg and tops at 173 kmph
So who's the more powerful puller you see. 173 top speed with 198 kg weight since others with 30kg less weight are doing only 2 kmph extra top speed.
    Looks and sound -
i do agree that the tail does not match the excessively large front head in size and height.
    But yet....
Its a head turner with its looks in public even when its on idle mode on red signals not making any revv sound..
And when it crosses 5000 rpm, it just roars like a 1000cc in-line 4 and that's where you start feeling your heart revving and that you have spent every penny well on this beast.
Now the golden Indian question -
    Kitna deti hai
Frankly speaking it does not matter but fir bhi..
For Good boys 25 km per litre..
For city street ego racers 15 km per litre..
    Servicing and maintenance -
Come on bros its a superbike. Its ought to be and it is costly.. Just ignore cost and focus on the ride..
    Pros -
Front looks like a 1000cc bike.
    Best exhaust Sound.
    Very good Handling n suspension.
    Front dual disc n ABS.
Engine cuts off if side stand is down when you engage the gear so that the bike should not fall if at all u have forgotten to pull up the side stand b4 starting the ride.
    Cons -
    hard clutch lever.
Small tail. Needs to have wider tail n height of tail also needs to be more.
    Dashboard very less informative.
The build quality is very Indian -- its very obvious that its assembled in India with the un-finished surfaces and un-polished welding marks everywhere on the bike.
Frame Sliders and other important accessories not available with authorised dealers.
Spares also not available on time with authorised dealers.
    important tips -
    Use high octane petrol..
See to it that you have a slim girlfriend to sit behind since you already have 198 kg bike to handle and balance ..

  • Benelli 302r best sports bike

    Kapil Kumar

    Hello all,

Let me introduce eva to you guy

I thought of sharing my happiness with you guys as i welcomed eva to my garage last week.

I booked this beauty on 29 july with a token amount of 10,000 at dsk benelli showroom bangalore (vinayak cars pvt ltd)

After i was assured of delivery within 15 days, i initiated the payment using online banking.

Here is the cost breakup for the same bike in bangalore. (+1200 extra for the temporary registration)

The delivery and document process was smooth as sales manager was closely following with everything and updating me whenever it was needed.

He promised me to deliver the bike on 9th august itself with tr number. I made all the payment cash which speed up the process, in case of financing it might have delayed the delivery date. I was happy to get the delivery on the promised date

Finally the day has come to meet her on a personal date

Pardon me, if i maybe heavily dressed for the delivery but the showroom is around 23km from my home which make the journey a long ride (considering bangalore traffic)

The delivery process will hardly take 1 hour, but make sure you double check engine/chassis number along with the other details.

I was given a brief introduction to the bike and its all features. The bike was fuelled up with the 3 litres of petrol for a smooth ride to back home.

    First impression:

-the bike handling is quite smooth

-the sound after 5000 rpm in 3rd gear will make u fall in love

-shock absorbers and the brakes are up to the mark

-it may get little heat up in traffic

-the clutch is so tight that my forearms are pumped after 30 minutes of ride

-the gearshifts are not as smooth as i expected

I am hoping that after first service, things will be quite smooth

  • Benelli -gear up-burn out-storm away

    Amey

The benelli 302r impressed me with its refined engine, slick gearbox, comfortable ergonomics and stable handling but it is lacking on a few crucial fronts. It's heft robs the bike of the sprightly feel the engine performance would offer otherwise. Then there's the fact that it handles well but feels lazy. The brakes are another problem, as getting to speeds isn't as big an issue as is slowing down from them. Benelli looks the part but its front-end is disproportionately larger than the rear, which makes it look odd. The fairing and headlights are a little too large i think. It gives the impression of a much larger motorcycle though, which is sure to appeal to a significant chunk of buyers. The fairing mounted mirrors are shaped like a leaf but the view offered isn't too good and adjustment is limited. The instruments look pretty dated, and the quality of the plastic surrounding the clocks could have been better. The double-barrel exhaust looks nice with its brushed metal finish and complements the slim rear well.It also uses the same liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 8-valve dohc 300cc parallel-twin cylinder.Power delivery is very top-end oriented. The 38.5ps is produced at 11,500rpm while peak torque comes in at the redline. Okay wait. The issue is that the redline is marked at 10,000rpm and the engine actually revs happily past that. The limiter actually kicks in at 12,000rpm! you really do need to wring the throttle to extract the full potential - there isn't much shove at low revs. At times i was either waiting for the power to kick in or had to downshift. The engine isn't too quick to build revs either and the motor is fun only when you keep things on the boil.On the positive side, the engine's nature ensures the benelli 302r will be friendly for everyone irrespective of how good or bad their riding skills are.But if relaxed manners, comfortable ergos and a big bike feel are your thing you should look at the benelli. But the benelli 302r will not make it easy for you. At rs 4.21 lakh on-road mumbai, the benelli doesn't even have the usual value-for-money card to play this.

  • Sweet inline sound super tourer and super head turner

    Chris

Awesome bike nice and comfortable, sturdy feel more planted in highway.Dual purpose bike, can be ridden in highway in city. U can ride this bike from 25 kmph in 6th gear all the way to 180kmph. Pickup lesser than all 300cc bikes but very tractable motor and low torque is adequate for city drive.Rev hard to get the nuts out of it and the rev needle easy passes 12k rpm limiter. For the exhaust note comparison, no cons will let u back from buying this bike.

It was my dream to be owner of a superbike. My budget was 4,00,000 and i wanted a bike with good looks and with sound like an in-line 4 cylinder bike. I choose benelli 302r to be my first bike1. While buying this i was too excited and i was sick at that day 2.It's riding position is well 3.It look like bomb 4.Service is not too high not too low 5.Nothing to say more because you understood my words and emotion.

  • Perfect musical tune stock exhaust

    Dandibhotla Raviteja

The perfect review of mine is...If u want a perfect musical tuning machine in the 300 segment....This one is the perfect bike matches to u and gives us a sporty feel while riding amongst all the 300 cc segment bikes....The pickup is awesome and the ground clearance is too god for city rides....Loved the seating posture on this bike....While u r doing corners it gives a better center of gravity and balance too....As we already know about benelli....Benelli is perfectly suitable for exhaust.......After the 5000 rpm...U can notice a wide range of sporty feel, sporty exhaust sound.....The abs is both switchable to off or on....The breaking system is awesome....The stopping distance is so minimum.....Whatever the rpm is...U cant find any vibration from the bike....

  • Benelli 302r name is enough

    Mohammed Shuhyb

First of all i didn't buy this bike, but accidentally i took my first test drive from bengaluru benelli showroom, riding experience is awesome, because of i didn't drive 300cc even before. Look as usual sporty, nice handling and fraction of seconds reaching 100 inside bengaluru streets, awesome abs, and one main thing which no one highlights before is dual front disc in benelli compare to any other 300cc bikes in India...As usual all people must have safety first...I think you guys got what i intend to tell. And last i want to share the interesting thing the weight of the bike. It's really heavy compare any other, and it's giving safe drive while achieving high speed and stability to continue in a line or path we want to follow. These 2 factors i can't seen in any sport model low cc bikes. Forget to tell is the sound and seating comfort is superb, i deeply recommend benelli for those who need satisfaction while go for a ride. Cons i seen in this bike is price only..That's why i didn't take this awesome product. Hahaha

  • Benelli 302r bring the world to your knees

    1) buying experience If you compare benelli 302r with the 300cc segment it is the expensive bike among all.But the build quality of benelli is the best.2) riding experience - the ride quality is the best well cushioned seats.- the front inverted telescopic suspension are best for the big bumps same goes with the rear monoshock suspension.- riding posture is sporty & comfortable.3) about looks & performance - looks : to start with the split headlights they are the best gives better visibility at night.Fearing : the best look which i like in the bike is the fearing it gives you the superbike feeling. The mirrors are wide which gives you good rear view angle.Paint scheme : the green & silver(silver verde) paint scheme is the best with the new black green graphics.Tail : the led tail light is the good looking small and compact Good grab handles for the pillion Performance : its the best sounding machine in the 300cc segment Coming to power it lags 38.26bhp while overtaking you have to revvv upto 6k-7k rpm.The bike gets heated up soon in the traffic.4) servicing : Servicing cost is expensive For the first service it costed me around 3k but only for oil as first service was free For second servicing it costed me around 4-5kAmc is also available.

Hahaha

  • The Real review Fact-file

    Tiger

Its sound is really the part of the bike...and the shark shaped doom look is one of the eye catching thing in the bike....and finally deadly looking sport engine...and it's one of the best feeling bike and when it comes to service, it's a bit expensive thing but performance wise it's a good one and eye catching one ...

    Aditya Chudji
