People think owning a 600 cc segment is affordable but if you ask me, honestly I would say that this bike is not easy-maintained. The power, drift, exhaust and RPM give us the satisfaction of premium segment bikes. Although it's about speed, throttle, exhaust note and maintenance this bike is a full package of satisfaction if you don't ride in heavy traffic. Ain't for daily commute !!
Riding experience stands 10/10, unremarkable and unbeatable. Always run neck to neck to 100BHP and above. Never on track with this machine, so no track suggestions.
Coming to looks, we all know that a naked sport doesn't come with full eye catchy satisfaction. Deep inside we all know that something is missing on the body and around the headlight !! But if you look at this machine from the rear tyre POV, yummy that looks so good and thick!!
Come on !! servicing and maintenance is all about how you maintain and run it along. And yes, fill your pockets when going to a service station or Fuel station.
    Pros-
Sound and inline 4 of course. ABS works as intended and I turn it off whenever I don't need it. I found using too much ABS loses that bite needed in B2B traffic.
    Very comfortable suspension.
Powerful enough when needed and you still can drive it regularly as a daily commuter (If you get used to heat and traffic.) Found it comfortable for long rides.
    Cons-
High maintenance. Rs 9500 on average per servicing. Servicing intervals are at 6k KM or 6 months.
chain tensioner needs to be replaced now and then.
    Easily heated up.
Long waiting period for parts to arrive. It's common with every mid/high-end bike though.
Vibration issues in bikes after a decent distance ride- easily can be identified if you ride a 200 km round distance. This issue comes again and again. Can't be fixed once and for all.

Very nice bike, it is fast, great pickup, has nice fuel efficiency about 20 to 22 km/lt very nice sound because of in line 4 cylinders, it heats up in city traffic in winter it is okay but in summer it is very uncomfortable to ride this bike in the city, it is also too heavy to ride in the city but I still like this bike as it the cheapest of 4 cyl bike in India.

I was not happy with the braking on the benelli tnt 600i. Though it may have big discs on the front, i felt that the brake lever had to be squeezed quite a lot for the brakes to respond. The rear brake was decent but the front brakes that matters the most, seemed as if they needed some bleeding.

Good bike, noisy boy, affordable bike, new generation bs6 has gone down with both torque and bhp and and high with noisy boy weight. It will little hard to ride in crowdy area but in streets and highways It is like a demon, maintenance is little high, you can use ixil x55 or ixil x60 for more bassy sound.

  • A bike which grows with you

    Indrajith

good experience so far. Doubtful about the reliability listening to few previous owners. But my personal experience is very good. Reliability wise, the bike still is solid and no parts looks or feels loose. even the fit and finish is very good even when compared to the old N650r.
Performance is adequate and do not expect powerful launch considering 600cc. But low end is adequate to ride slow speeds in traffic as well. the bike feels slow but when to hit redline in every gear you will realize that it's very quick in numbers and climbing speeds after 6k rpm, you will appreciate the pull from the 4 cylinder mill. top end is just sweet. bike can crawl even in 1.5k rpm in 6th as well. Work on the gears and you will see great performance.
Braking is not bad. front breaks are very sharp.
Weight is something which helps the bike to stay steady and the balance of weight is good on highway speeds.
But the same weight is felt in city riding until you get used to it.
mileage I am getting is 16 to 17 in city and 23 to 25 in highway (IXIL).
Service is now a lot better with Mahaveer group.
Comfortable suspension for Indian roads. Bad roads will unsettle the bike because of the weight.
Final verdict : This is a bike which grows on you. the more you ride the more you get used to it and enjoy every bit of it.

  • Benelli 600i THE TRUTH AND MYTH

    Neethi Raj
