The 2021 Kawasaki Z650 is a middle-weight naked street bike which was updated to comply with the new BS6 emission norms last year. The Japanese manufacturer took this opportunity to bestow the motorcycle with more changes than just a cleaner engine. It gets a sharper design which follows Kawasaki’s Sugomi design philosophy, the older LCD has been replaced by a new Bluetooth-enabled TFT dash, the suspension setup has been tuned for sharper handling while the tyres are the new Dunlop Sportmax Roadsport 2 rubbers.
So, as compared to its BS4 iteration, is it much better out in the real world now? Can it be your first big bike? And more importantly, is it a worthy alternative to other middle-weight multi-cylinder bikes like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 ? We try to answer all these questions about the new Kawasaki Z650 BS6 in this video review.
