BMW Motorrad’s S1000XR is an amazing blend of touring and sport motorcycle with quarter-faired design and a ballistic in-line four cylinder engine. However, a lot of riders might find it inaccessible in terms of performance and pricing. For such buyers, BMW has introduced its smaller sibling, the F900XR which made its debut at the 2019 EICMA Show in Milan.
The design of the F900XR is majorly inspired by its larger sibling, especially with that split LED headlamp, sharp nose and side fairings, golden USD forks, chiseled fuel tank and a stubby tail section. Besides the full-LED lighting setup, it also gets a Bluetooth-enabled 6.5-inch TFT instrument cluster. While the standard electronics package consists of ABS, switchable traction control and two riding modes (Road and Rain), it can be updated with more goodies by opting for BMW’s Pro package.
The 895cc parallel-twin engine of the F900XR is a higher-displacement derivative of the 853cc motor which does duty on its adventure sibling, the F850GS. On the XR, this powerplant generates 105bhp of power at 8,500rpm and 92Nm of peak torque at 6,500rpm. The six-speed gearbox is accompanied by a mechanically-operated anti-hopping clutch.
Based on a bridge-type frame which holds the engine as the stressed member, the F900XR rides on 17-inch alloy wheels. Damping is handled by 43mm upside down forks up front along with preload and rebound-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Anchors are dropped by a pair of 320mm discs with radially-mounted floating calipers at the front and a 265mm single disc single-piston floating caliper at the rear. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at 219kgs.
BMW has priced the F900XR at Rs 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in three colour options including Galvanic Gold Metallic, Light White and Racing Red. It competes against the Triumph Tiger 900 GT and the Ducati Multistrada 950.

What to say about the beast. Had a privilege to own this beast . All the options available in this machine is quite good but there is only a problem of parts which are quite expensive but if you willing to pay for almost 12 lakhs then parts are not a big deal . Short phrase is just German give you all .
