I am in the market for a mid-range bike. Never liked those single cylinder small engine bikes: low on power, low on torque means acceleration between gears is very poor and you need too many gear shifts. In my search for a mid-range bike i came across cleveland bike which is in the price bracket populated by enfield twins (retro), cbr 300 (modern), z250 & benelli 300 (modern twin cylinders).I didn't find one thing in favor of this bike and reason given for high price is that it is coming to india through ckd route. Why? Ckd route only means high price leading to less sales which leads to less after sales support and ultimately bad reputation of the company.

The first time I came to know about this motorcycle I thought it will be in the Under 1 lakh price range, but after I came to know about the price which is in the range of Ktm duke 390, kawasaki ninja 300, honda cb300, royal enfield twins, etc etc, It make me think what is in the mind of cleveland that they could sell a bike with poor build quality, size similar to or smaller than that of hero splendor, engine which is so underpowered yet not very efficient either........ It will only do well if it is priced and competes with its proper competitors in the budget segment commuters like splendor, bajaj discover 110, tvs star city, tvs radeon, etc. But surely it lives up to its name "Misfit" , it is truly MISFIT for Indian buyers.

If you have excess money and you don't know how to spend it in bad way just visit the nearest Cleveland Cycle werks and have a conversation with the sales representative there and tell your condition of your money, they will recommend you to buy the Ace model (Costliest Bicycle). My friend failed in his life by buying this bike. I can still see our Indian tiger (splendor) can easily overtake this bike. Please don't buy this.
