The Ducati 899 Panigale is the long awaited replacement for the old 848. Introduced globally in 2013, the 899 Panigale caters to the highly exciting middleweight sports bike segment that includes the Triumph Daytona 675 and Yamaha R6.
The 899 Panigale is closely related to the bigger 1199 Panigale, in terms of both looks and power-train. The new Superquadro engine (also used in the 1199) features a revised bore and stroke for a broad power delivery. Producing 148hp of power, the twin cylinder unit continues to be a fully stressed member of the monocoque construction.
The 1199-like silhouette underlines the familiar Ducati DNA with features like Ducati Quick Shift (DQS), ride-by-wire throttle, triple stage ABS, Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC). However, unlike the 1199 which has a single-sided swingarm, the 899 has a conventional two-sided swingarm. Ducati is claiming a dry weight of 169 kilograms for this middleweight motorcycle.
The Ducati 899 Panigale is available in traditional Ducati red with black wheels or arctic white with red wheels.

Ducati 899 panigale. Ducati's latest superbike, the 899 panigale, is shorter, sharper, and sweeter than its big brother, the 1199. The design is pure italian sketchbook cool. The led headlights, the exhaust cut away on the left hand side, the swingarm, the side-mounted shock. It’s a thing of beauty before you even ride it. Wiredshorter, sharper, and sweeter than its bigger brother. Advanced electronics tailor performance to an individual rider and specific conditions.
