Introduction
The Drystack Stormproof saddlebags is that last set of bags from Rynox that was sent to us for testing and review. We decided to introduce this at the last because the first few ones were kind of universal and could fit in almost all motorcycles. But the Drystack saddlebags are little focused and will be used primarily on our Royal Enfield Meteor 350 long termer. So let’s get started.
Product Details
Like always, let’s talk first about the cargo space these saddlebag offers – a whopping 30 litres on each bag. That means, you are looking at a cargo space of 60-litres which is pretty good for a really long ride. How to access these bags? Well, it’s not the traditional zipper ones. The Drystack uses a roll-top loading compartment which helps in a big bag during monsoon, as without the rainproof covers, it can be called water resistant. On the outside, there is one large quick access pocket on each bag and a bottle holder with mesh exterior. To store something important, Rynox has given two large pockets with zippers. This bag can be locked by using two quick release buckles that have adjustability feature.
Once the bags are packed, loading it on the bike is a pretty easy task. The bags need to be placed on the pillion seat. Both the bags are connected via two individual adjustable straps with double-d rings facility. Once the bags are mounted, there is one long strap that needs to be circled on the other side of the bike so that the bags can stay strong and tight.
We’ll be using the Drystack saddle bags while touring on the Royal Enfield Meteor. You should know that this bag fits on motorcycles with horizontal placed exhaust.
