The adventure motorcycle segment has grown considerably well since the time motorcycles like the Hero XPulse 200 and the KTM 390 Adventure hit the Indian market. While the Royal Enfield Himalayan did create a new affordable ADV category, the XPulse and the 390 Adventure managed to accelerate the growth in the segment. As a result of such bikes, the demand for good luggage systems increased since many riders wanted to explore the unbeaten paths across the country.

Rynox Gears has been in the industry for almost a decade and no one knows the Indian motorcycle luggage market better than them. So, after creating some generic luggage systems, Rynox Gears decided to purpose-built. This time they have created a tank bank primarily for adventure motorcycles. They named it the Navigator 15L and it went on sale a few months ago.

Firstly, the Rynox Navigator is one good-looking tank bag. The credit goes to the colour combination and also the exterior finish. The brand claims that this tank bag was designed and developed for rough use and as a result, needed to be durable and reliable. This is the reason why some of the used materials are usually seen in defence and tactical products. The entire shell of the bag has been made from Cordura fabric – one of the strongest fabrics available in the market. This material is known for its durability and resistance to abrasions and tears.

The Navigator bag comes with a rain cover and also an internal dry bag. Now the brand claims that this dry bag can prevent the belongings inside it from rainwater, but it won’t work if it is dipped in water. It also gets two backpack straps and two mounting straps. This bag comes with a mounting harness too. Once installed on the fuel tank, this harness is super easy to mount on and unmount from the Navigator, with the help of four buckles. To make things safer, there’s also a Velcro system below the bag that holds onto the harness system. Like some of the other Rynox bags, this one too comes with reflective panels that keep the rider safe at night.

Moreover, this tank bag gets a MOLLE system. This is nothing but a place where lightweight bags or equipment can be mounted on top of the bag. This was originally used by tactical forces but now has made it to the world of motorcycles. This system allows the rider to carry things that need to be accessed easily and also helps save overall space inside the bag.

In terms of capacity, this bag from Rynox has a cargo volume of 12 litres but can be expanded to 15 litres. It has two side pockets and a few inside the bag as well. The Rynox Navigator only fits adventure motorcycles and in case the rider wants to carry it along, the bag comes with shoulder straps. And for short hauls, there’s a small handle that can be used.
