In one of our previous stories, we listed the 5 most affordable 125cc scooters on sale in India. The list was vivid and comprises various names. And in this story, we’ll address the 5 most affordable 125cc motorcycles that you can buy today. Here’s the list.

Bajaj CT125X

CT 125X Model Image

The CT 125X marks itself as one of the most affordable 125cc bikes in India. It costs Rs 72,269 (ex-showroom Chandigarh) and is offered in two trims: drum and disc. The CT125X gets a conventional commuter bike build but has elements that give it a slightly rugged look. It features a sturdy grab rail, crash guard, headlight grill, and an underbelly bash plate too. The CT draws power from a 124.4cc single-cylinder air-cooled motor with the output rated at 10.7 bhp and 11 Nm. Overall, the motor is quite frugal and has enough performance to suit the bike’s purpose. Even the practicality quotient is pretty high with the plush front and slightly stiff rear springs. It features an LED DRL, a USB charger, and a twin-pod analog console.

Hero Super Splendor

Another affordable commuter option on this list is the Hero Super Splendor. It retails at Rs 78,848 (ex-showroom Chandigarh) and gets a 124.7cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine. It makes 10.72 bhp and 10.6 Nm and is mated to a five-speed gearbox. The Splendor gets three variants: drum, drum alloy, and disc. It features diamond chassis suspended on telescopic front forks and dual rear shocks while the braking hardware varies from disc to drum as per the variant. Overall, the Super Splendor is quite fuel-efficient, it has a good build quality and Hero’s service network also makes the Super Splendor a viable purchase.

Bajaj Pulsar 125

The Bajaj Pulsar 125 is our third suggestion with an asking price of Rs 81,037 (ex-showroom Chandigarh). Bajaj offers the bike in three trims: drum, disc, and split seat. All three variants feature the same muscular design that Bajaj employed on the first Pulsar. It’s powered by a 125cc single-cylinder mill developing 11.64 bhp and 10.8 Nm. It’s mated to a five-speed gearbox and the bike rides on telescopic front forks and dual rear springs. The Pulsar is quite nimble to handle and the low and mid-range grunt are very likable. The bike is quite affordable to maintain and has a comfortable riding triangle too.

Honda SP 125

The Honda SP 125 is another laudable option courtesy of its low asking price and the overall package. Honda has priced the SP125 at Rs 83,975 (ex-showroom Chandigarh) and offers with a dual drum or front disc and rear drum option. Powering the Honda commuter is a 124cc motor dishing out 10.72 bhp and 10.9 Nm and linked to a five-speed gearbox. The SP 125 looks quite stylish for a commuter and has a youthful styling approach to it. It gets an LED headlamp and tail lamp and also features a fully-digital instrument console with an Eco indicator, real-time fuel efficiency, gear position indicator, and a service reminder. It also gets an engine kill switch which is a segment-first feature. The SP offers a comfortable riding experience and has a frugal motor to add to the overall convenience.

Hero Glamour Xtec

Last but not least, the Hero Glamour Xtec could also be an option for you with the asking price set to Rs 85,938 (ex-showroom Chandigarh). The Xtec is one of the most feature-loaded bikes in the segment. It gets LED illumination, a digital console and smartphone connectivity to give you access to access SMS and call alerts. It’s powered by a 124cc motor just like all the other bikes on this list and it makes 10.7bhp and 10.6Nm. The Glamour Xtec gets a five-speed gearbox, conventional front forks, dual rear springs, and a front disc/drum with a rear drum brake setup. The Glamour’s suspension is plush and the engine is also quite reliable, which makes it a good purchase.
