Rank 6: Honda Goldwing GT 1800 – Rs 28.5 lakh
The Goldwing GT 1800 has been one of the best cruisers ever to be sold in India. In fact, this cruiser has the reputation of being the most reliable cruiser one can buy in the world. Built in Japan, the Goldwing GT 1800 has been on sale in India since earlier this year. Known for its supreme comfort, the Goldwing is equipped with a host of features like independently adjusted heated grips, foot-warning system, six-speaker surround system with iPod or USB connectivity. There’s also 150-litres luggage storage, which proves quite useful on long rides. And believe it or not, this cruiser gets an airbag and electric reverse system.

The Springfield was the last launch from Indian Motorcycles. Named after the birthplace of Indian Motorcycles, the Springfield is a bagger that sits between the Chief Vintage and the Chieftain. Other than the brilliant 111 V-Twin engine, the Springfield is equipped with a lot of features. It sports remote locking hard bags and adjustable passenger floorboards. Anti-lock braking system (ABS), tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic cruise control and dual driving lights come as standard. For someone who loves accessories, there are standard front and rear highway which can be useful when mounting bags.

The Street Glide Special is the oldest of this lot. This cruiser has been designed as a part of Harley-Davidson’s Project Rushmore. As the name suggests, it’s the special edition of the standard model and is loaded with some cool features. It gets a Boom! Box infotainment system that has a 6.5-inch touchscreen and two speakers which sit on the front fairing. It also gets dual halogen head lamps, aluminium wheels and an electronically linked ABS system.

The second most expensive Indian Motorcycle, the Chieftain, is a faired touring motorcycle. It is powered by the same 111 V-Twin engine that powers the rest of the Indian line-up (except Scout series). In terms of exclusivity, the Chieftain is a bit ahead from its siblings – thanks to the inclusion of Pathfinder LED headlights, electronically adjustable windshield and hard-case saddlebags. The cruiser also gets ABS and cruise control as standard. The Chieftain comes with premium speakers integrated into the saddlebag lids which is quite unique.

The most expensive Indian Motorcycle – the Roadmaster, is the second most expensive cruiser to be ever sold in India. The Roadmaster is an example of comfort and luxury. Being a flagship motorcycle, the American manufacturer has made sure to differentiate this cruiser from the rest of the line-up. It gets heated grips that can be adjusted in 10 different settings. It also gets weather proof storage space of almost 140 litres through saddlebags and a trunk bag. These bags can be locked using a remote. The bike gets keyless entry and all the rider needs to do is keep the key inside the pocket and start the bike. If the rider misplaces the fob, he can use the individual security code that has been pre-programmed into the ignition. Even the windshield can be adjusted via a push of a button. The passenger and the rider seats are heated too.

The Harley-Davidson CVO Limited is the most expensive cruiser that’s on sale in India. The reason this bike is so expensive because it’s not a regular Harley. This motorcycle is a part of the company’s Custom Vehicle Operations. Bikes in this category are manufactured in a different assembly line and personal attention is given to them. This cruiser is known for the kind of infotainment system it offers. A big full-colour touchscreen that displays a wide-range of ride data comes as standard. There are speakers too. It is also equipped with LED headlamps and an anti-lock braking system. Power comes from an 1801cc V-Twin that produces 156Nm of peak torque. For the style conscious customer, one can get the CVO limited in their favourite colour.
