Alpinestars S-MX6 boots review
Alpinestars is a very respected name in its field, and that was reinforced when I stated my intent to buy a pair of boots made by it. Vikrant swears by the pair that he has owned, and I wanted to see what the fuss was about. My requirement was a boot that can deal with both street and track use without breaking the bank. Oh, and the more ventilation, the better. The S-MX6 was the best fit, and I went hunting. It is available in various colour combinations involving white, red and black, but I went with the plain black. The less maintenance the better, you see.
The pair of boots is packaged in a giant box and gets a manual and yes, two stickers as well. The toe sliders are replacable, and the venting runs from toe to top, something that I’m sure I’ll appreciate a lot during summer. I’ve already got quite a few admiring looks from the rest of the team, so I know the design is spot on. They aren’t exactly cheap, at Rs 22,500 (available at Planet DSG). Now to find out how easy these are to break in...
