Product review: Fego Float installation
The Fego Float was a simple enough product to install, as per the manual. But how easy is it to install on a motorcycle? The old KTM 390 Duke has a front seat that bolts into place, so the only tools you’ll need are a spanner for those two bolts. The spanner in the tool kit will be the right size, but a ratchet and box spanner will always make things easier and quicker. Here’s how one can install the Fego Float onto a KTM Duke in a few simple steps:
1. Insert key into seat release, remove pillion seat.
2. Take the spanner, undo the two bolts holding the rider’s seat in place.
3. Remove the rider’s seat.
4. Inflate the air cushion in the Fego Float (there’s no pump involved here; YOU are the pump).
5. Insert the air cushion into the Fego Float cover.
6. Turn the Duke seat upside down, and hook the straps to the Fego Float. Adjust the tension if needed.
7. Put the seat back, tighten the bolts, replace pillion seat, and you’re good to go.
In our next update we’ll discuss how the Fego Float looks and feels initially. Watch this space!
You can purchase the Fego Float from FuelADream.
