1. Bajaj Pulsar 150: 94,572-1,05,472
The Bajaj Pulsar 150 has been one of the oldest offerings in the country. The motorcycle gets a muscular and conventional design. It is available in four variants and twelve different colour options. Being an entry-level bike, it has limited features on offer like LED taillight, single-channel ABS, dual disc brakes and a semi-digital instrument cluster. It's powered by a 149.5cc single-cylinder air-cooled DTSI (Digital Twin Spark Ignition) engine that churns out 13.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 13.25Nm at 6,500rpm. All this power and torque is taken to its wheels via a five-speed gearbox.
2. Yamaha FZ FI: Rs 1,04,439
The second 150cc offering here comes from Yamaha. The FZ FI contributes a major part of sales in the entire Yamaha lineup. The motorcycle is available in two colours and a standard variant. The FZ FI features a fully digital instrument cluster, LED headlamp, LED taillight and a single-channel ABS. The motorcycle draws power from a 149cc engine that delivers 12.2bhp at 7,250rpm and 13.3Nm at 5,500rpm. There's also a FZS FI model on offer, which gets seven different colours and a few cosmetic add-ons over the FZ FI.
3. Honda Unicorn: Rs 99,017
Moving to the 160cc segment, the Honda Unicorn is the most affordable offering. The bike gets a sleek commuter-ish look complemented by a few chrome inserts. In terms of features, it's the least equipped motorcycle, and Honda should consider giving it an update. It is available in a standard variant and has three colours on offer. Powering the Unicorn is a 162.7cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 12.73bhp at 7,500rpm and 14Nm at 5,500rpm. The bike rides on 18-inch wheels and employs a 240mm disc brake at the front.
4. TVS Apache RTR 160: Rs 99,020-1,02,020
The TVS Apache RTR 160 gets a sporty and aggressive design. It gets graphics all across its body, tank extensions on both sides, underbelly pan, chrome exhaust cover, a single piece seat and a split-type rear grab handle. It further comes equipped with features like a semi-digital instrument cluster, LED taillight and Glide through technology (GTT). At its heart sits a 159.7cc air-cooled engine that churns out 15.31bhp at 8,400rpm and 13.9Nm at 7,000rpm. Meanwhile, for braking, it employs a 270mm wavy disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear assisted by single-channel ABS.
5. Bajaj Avenger Street 160: Rs 1,01,376
Moving to the final option, the Bajaj Avenger Street 160 has been one of the most appreciated cruiser motorcycles in the country. The bike gets a stylish look complemented by a few chrome elements and a relaxed riding position. It is available in only one variant and two colour options. The Avenger Street 160 is powered by a 160cc single-cylinder DTS-i engine that makes 14.79bhp 8,500rpm and 13.7Nm at 7,000rpm. It comes with similar features like an LED taillight, digital speedometer and ABS. The Bajaj Avenger Street 160 competes against the likes of the Suzuki Intruder 150 in the country. The seat height here is kept at 737mm which makes it easier for shorter riders.
