While in school and college, we all were fascinated by the looks and the aerodynamic design of fully-faired bikes. Meanwhile, the search would be always on for the one which would fit in the budget.
If you could relate to all that was mentioned above, here's a list of the top five affordable fully-faired motorcycles which you could consider for yourself! Below mentioned prices are ex-showroom Mumbai :
1. Hero Xterme 200S : Rs 1,19,000
So the first on our list is the Hero Xterme 200S. This is the most affordable fully-faired bike in the market currently. The bike surely looks quite lean and sharp in terms of design. It gets features like all LED lights and a digital instrument cluster. It's powered by a 199.6cc unit which churns out 17.8bhp at 8000rpm and 16.5Nm at 6500rpm. This power and torque are put down through a five-speed gearbox. For effective braking, it employs a disc on both ends, and the bike ride is taken care of by telescopic forks at the front and mono-shock at the rear.
2. Suzuki Gixxer SF : Rs 1,30,130
The second most affordable bike on our list comes from the Japanese automaker Suzuki. The side fairing integrated with the underbelly pan lends the Gixxer SF an aerodynamic look. It is equipped with all LED lights and a digital instrument cluster. Powering the bike is a 155cc engine that produces 13.4bhp at 8000rpm and 13.8Nm at 6000rpm. It also gets a five-speed gearbox, and for better stopping power it uses a disc on both ends assisted by a single-channel ABS. The bike ride is handled by telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm at the rear.
3. Bajaj Pulsar RS200 : Rs 1,50,963
The Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the third bike on our list. It surely looks quite sharp and beefy. The bike gets a dual projector headlamp and an LED taillamp. The instrument cluster here is a combination of a digital speedometer and an analogue tachometer. For producing the required power and torque output it employs a 199.5cc motor which churns out 24.2bhp at 9750rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000rpm. All of this is put down via a six-speed gearbox. Braking here is handled by a disc on both ends assisted by dual-channel ABS. For a comfortable ride, it mounts telescopic forks with a bush at the front and Nitrox mono-shock at the rear.
4. Yamaha YZF R15 V3 : Rs 1,53,439
The fourth one on our list is the Yamaha R15 which has been quite popular amongst youngsters because of its sharp and aggressive looks. It gets features like, all LED lights, a fully digital instrument cluster and VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology which ensures linear power delivery throughout the rev range. For propelling it derives power from its 155cc mill which makes 18.37bhp at 10000rpm and 14.1Nm of twist at 8500rpm. This power and torque are taken to its rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox. Moreover, it is equipped with disc brakes on both ends, and it also gets dual-channel ABS as standard. The suspension setup mounts telescopic forks at the front and a swingarm at the rear. The bike is available with four variants on offer.
5. KTM RC125 : Rs 1,69,382
The final one here comes from the Austrian brand, KTM in the form of the RC125. As compared to other motorcycles on this list, it is on the expensive side and is also powered by a smaller-capacity engine. However, it gets a very sharp and edgy design. To illuminate the road ahead, it uses a dual-projector headlamp. Meanwhile, it uses an LED in the tail lamp. It also gets an all-digital instrument cluster. At its heart sits a 125cc engine which churns out 14.5bhp and 12Nm. This unit is coupled to a six-speed gearbox. Furthermore, the suspension duty is handled by WP APEX 43 at the front and WP APEX mono-shock at the rear.
