Top 6 scooters for men

It’s during the recent years that scooters started gaining humungous popularity and adaptability. This made manufacturers expand their portfolio, so much that now there are scooters suitable for both men and women. Now, when we say scooters for men, there are a few qualities these scooters need to possess, such as macho looks, impressive features and good acceleration. Let’s have a look at which ones come close to meeting these requirements.

Suzuki Burgman Street 125:

Starting with the newest entrant, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 reincarnated the maxi scooter genre in India. Its bulky front end and cruiser-like foot board are properly in line with the liking of men. The scooter gets LED headlamps and tail lamps, full-digital instrument cluster, 12V charging point and a boot large enough for a half-face helmet. With all the interesting features and attention-grabbing looks, the Suzuki Burgman Street 125 is priced at Rs 70,961 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

TVS Ntorq 125:

Along with the sporty looks, men often desire a bunch of flaunt-worthy features on their ride. The TVS Ntorq 125 has both, in abundance. Apart from the aggressive and angular design, it gets a digital LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth-support and conveys ample information such as best lap, last lap time, engine temperature and many more. The boot lamp and charging port under the seat along with external fuel filler cap, all raise the convenience quotient. The TVS NTorq 125 carries a price tag of Rs 67,034 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR:

The Yamaha Cygnus Ray ZR is yet another gearless two-wheeler which, in terms of looks, makes for a suitable option for men. While its standard Ray-Z iteration looks sleek and light, the Cygnus Ray ZR has a burly appeal to it with a huge front apron. The various options of sporty graphics, such as the Street Rally edition, make it all the more appealing and interesting. Moreover, the 113cc engine of the Cygnus Ray ZR also has a decent acceleration which is always welcome by male riders. As for the pricing, it comes with an affordable price tag of Rs 54,753 (ex-showroom, Mumbai).

Hero Maestro Edge:

Hero advertises the Mestro Edge as a male-oriented scooter and this is justified instantly after a glance at it. Despite being a 110cc scooter, the brawny front and rear panels of the Maestro Edge make it look like a 125cc model. It sports a huge headlamp unit, twin shade mirrors, apron-mounted blinkers and nice-looking conical exhaust. It has also received several new and dynamic colour options all of which look cool. In terms of utility, it gets a pair of hooks on the front and the underseat boot comes with a charging socket. The Hero Maestro Edge has been priced at Rs 50,400 (ex-showroom, Mumbai) which makes it a go-to option.

Honda Navi:

Honda Navi was an all-new concept in India when it was launched in 2016. Strapping the Activa’s 110cc engine, it flaunts the mini bike looks with a motorcycle-like fuel tank, long suspension, oblong headlamp unit and high-set handlebar. All of that makes for a perfect recipe for a male-oriented scooter which majorly attracts the young chunk of buyers. Honda has given timely updates to the Navi by offering attractive colours such as the range green and Ladakh brown. The bike-cum-scooter is retailed at Rs 44,389 which makes it the cheapest offering in the list.

Aprilia SR150:

The list of male-focused scooters is incomplete without the Italian, most powerful offering of India, the Aprilia SR150. The 154.8cc powerplant of the SR150 produces 10.25bhp of power and 11.4Nm of torque which delivers quick acceleration. The compact and sporty looks of the scooter are accompanied by large 14-inch wheels which don’t just make it stable but also lend it ample road presence. For men who desire more from the Italian machine, there’s also a Race edition which comes with RS-GP theme, tall windscreen and a reworked CVT. The standard variant of the scooter costs Rs 72,100 while the race variant is priced at Rs 73,500 (both prices ex-showroom, Mumbai).
