The Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is a part of the company’s Softail range of touring motorcycles. It draws inspiration from the traditional cruisers from the 1950s.
The low-slung stance, round headlamp, sweptback handlebars, tank-mounted clocks, horseshoe tank and the extensive use of chrome - all give the Heritage Softail Classic the look of a retro cruiser. The rear shocks are concealed to give it the look of a rigid arm cruiser. It even gets spoke wheels with white walled tyres to enhance the old-school styling. However, there are modern bits too, like the digital display in the instrument cluster, ABS, cruise control and a security system.
Powering the Heritage Softail Classic is a 1690cc air-cooled V-twin engine delivering 124Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. It is offered in seven paint schemes – blue, red, white, yellow, matte black, dark blue and metallic black. It competes with the likes of the Ducati XDiavel, Moto Guzzi California 1400 and the Triumph Thunderbird.
Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic is available in the following colours in India.

I went with my whole family to the showroom in gurgaon. Since i was very sure about the bike i had to buy, and i have already taken the test drive before, so this visit was more of a family showcasing and formality.
Riding this mammoth beauty gives a feeling that can't be described in words. Whenever i take this out for a solo ride to murthal, i think i along with my bike become the centre of attraction for everyone. Youngsters come to me asking price, mileage and what not.
Once above 100 kmph, real fun of this bike begins, and for me 120 is the sweet spot. It can run all day long without any hitch, there are no vibrations, no extra effort required to manoeuvre the handle, you just flow on the road. It maintains its grip, allowing you to feel confident.
I love my bike...
