Harley-Davidson Road King [2018-2019] Summary
The Road King is the entry-level model in Harley-Davidson’s Touring range. It is a laid back motorcycle with classic design cues inspired by the cruisers from the 1950s.
The headlamp, turn indicators, handlebar, engine, forks and the two into one into two exhaust system get chrome treatment. The sweeping front fender wears the Road King badge. The tank-mounted electronic instrument console integrates a speedometer, distance to empty gauge, tachometer and a gear indicator among other basic functionalities. The Road King also gets a detachable windscreen, optional cruise control and ABS.
Powering the Road King is an air-cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 engine. This engine displaces 1745cc and delivers 150Nm of torque through a six-speed transmission. It rides on 17-inch front and 16-inch rear cast aluminium wheels, with whitewalled tyres. The Harley-Davidson Road King in offered in seven paint schemes. It competes with other cruisers like the Indian Chief Dark Horse and the Moto Guzzi California 1400.
