Good buying experience, riding comfort is good since the bike is bit heavy compared to other similar segments so its stable while riding. Looks wise, its very old and everything is equal to a start up range bikes. Performance in 1st and 3rd gear is good and you can feel lagging in 5th.. But more the acceleration, more the performance. But gear shifting or coming down is ridiculous.. Too bad compared to any bike models of 150 cc very bad engineering.. Mileage is very poor compared to other similar segment bikes. Its ok only when you do not exceed the economy indicator. It will cross around 45- 50 or else (even if you maintain 60) mileage is just 40. Despite how you maintain your bike. How can one drive less than 60 always? worst servicing in company. No one does the service properly for hero bikes especially, this is outdated model bike and so spares are very rare to get.
Pros: excellent stability, braking is good and no tiresome driving even if you drive long. Good for an elderly family person.
Cons: worst back suspension, worst gear performance, worst servicing, ridiculous mileage.

Hi guys, i want to tell you about my bike hero achiever and also share my experience. Guys i am riding this bike for last 3 years and this bike has given me all that i really wanted except a comfortable ride on hills. This bike is actually made for plain roads and not for hills and off roads. Guys if you want a bike which has low maintenance cost, better mileage and simple, you should go for hero achiever. Believe me it gives me mileage 54+ in city and 58+ in highway. It has very low maintenance cost { servicing in 2500 km is necessary}. If you are a simple man, it is really a simple bike for you. What i feel bad about this bike is its low power [13 bhp @8000rpm and 13nm @5000rpm]. Though high power is not always necessary yet it is expect able in certain cases. I have completed around 16,000 km on this bike and have no issues till now. So finally, if you are a daily rider and not very fond of touring, just close your eyes and go for it.
