It's a good bike under 1 lakh with 150cc. The riding experience is also good. Its been 7 years, still my looks like a new bike.It is shape like that, once i met with a small accident, but i got escaped without any wounds or fractures. The styling and the strongness of the bike is very good.It is good for family and we can use this bike for long trips also.

93000 kms driving review of hero xtreme 2013-2014

      Nithyanand Das

I have taken my hero xtreme 2013-14 model bike in 2015 at 5000kms ride by the 1st owner for about 50kinr,. It always used to be one of my favorite bikes in terms of look & riding,. It will be a great bike for the daily commute, city rides, even through heavy traffic as the bike comes with pressed handle ( short handle ) but never feels heavy as in case of pulsar standard,. It also has a milage of about 50-55 even today in 2020 in well maintained conditions,. Just changed my bike's clutch-plates after 72k ride,. Coming to disadvantages, it has no proper grip of rear wheel & leakage of water, especially rainwater into petrol tank unless it is properly insulated,. The standard horn is so low for city traffic,. Coming to advantages, it has got a sportier look with good comfort in setting & riding along with comfortable pillion seat to grab-rails, footpegs,. Not like its predecessor it comes both with electric & kick starts,. Its a good choice for day to day commute, office/college, occasional long rides for 100 o 150 km.

Xtreme - my 9 years companion

      Vishal Ramane

Hi.. I owned a cbz xtreme 2011 model, black colour with rear disc brake. Till now i covered 99000kms in my cbz xtreme bike. I bought this bike on April 2012 and riding till now. Am professionally a marketing guy and use to travel minimum 40kms/day. Even after completing 99k still i feel the same smoothness in engine with the same engine power and mileage of about 39km/litre in city and 42-45 km/ltr in highway with a average speed of 8okm/hr. Let i explain point wise about my best bike:1. Buying experience: actually i visited showroom to buy a hunk bike with my father but we saw this beast beside the hunk bike in showcase platform of showroom. My father got impressed about this bike fairings, heavy body and wider seat. Actually i don't had any idea about bikes that time, it was my first 150cc bike and as guided my father i choose this bike and bought this bike. Showroom executives were very friendly and i got the bike in one visit. 2. Riding experience: bike's seating position is very comfortable and leg positioning is also very nice even for 6ft height riders. I have ridden 220kms one way journey with only two stops for refreshment with a pillion rider for more than 15 times, no engine over heating and no any breakdown. Only thing i found is there is a vibration when the bikes crosses 90km/hr speed. Breaking of this bike is very stable and cornering we can do without fear.3. Looks & performance:however the look was not too impressive and eye catchy when compare to other bikes of same segment. But the semi digital console with the analog tachometer looks good at night. When it comes to the performance it will give good competition with the bikes of same segments, but due to the less engine power and less torque it lags in top speed. What i observed in this bike is, this is very fast in initial pickup upto 80km/hr after that it takes more time to cross 110km/hr and the top speed what i reached is 126 km/hr . 4. Servicing and maintenance: i usually get my bike serviced for every 3000kms. Initially i serviced my bike in showroom(authorized service center) only but after 60000kms i started servicing with private mechanic who was well known to me and also a ex mechanic of hero authorized service center. Its better to change rare disc pad for every 10,000kms and front for 30,000kms. Tyres also plays a very important role in pick up and as well as in mileage, so i usually change my rare tyre for every 30000kms and front for 45000kms. My service cost never crossed 2000 for general service with oil and rare disc pad change. Overall the performance of the bike is very good and is suitable for daily commuters. 5. Pros:a. Good mileage b. Good road grip c. Comfortable riding position d. Less maintenance cost e. Reliable engine f. Good ground clearance g. Under cowl gives extra fairness to bike. cons:a. Vibration after 80km/hr speed b. Not comfortable for the riders less than 5ft height c. Has less top speed compare to other 150cc bikes d. No kicker e. Headlight is not suitable for long riding at night f. Pillow seat is not comfortable for senior citizens. Finally i proud to be a owner of cbz xtreme. Am clocking 1lakh kilometers in this month with not even one engine problem. But even if i buy a new bike i will keep my cbz xtreme, bcz am in love with it.Thanks.

Bike is good , specially suspension. When we get speed it's drive smoothly on highway. Drawbacks - kick start is required. Battery getting drain early. Over all bike is good and price also worthy.I drive it since 2011 , good selection for this. Brake system, tyre also powerful. Servicing also good by hero.

Hero xtreme long term ownership review

      Rajib Kumar Bhattacharya

Buying experience: When i bought this bike, i did not knew how to ride a bike. Gone thru the net, seen the review and bought it. One line i still remember that "you rarely will find any cbz/xtreme in service centres / garages lying.." absolutely true..Riding experience: I am a daily commuter who ride 10kms a day..Sometimes it goes to 30-50km when i go for outing on sundays .. Also i go for touring with my wife and my 11 years son 10-12 times in a year for 500-600 kms journey in a single day tour. While commuting in city as this bike is, it feels very smooth, no vibration, enough initial torque for overtaking, low noise in engine make the ride comfortable.. While touring i ride around 90-105 kmph speed for 1-1.5 hours stretch with 2 pillions, surprisingly it never gave up. No engine heating issue. Super smooth feel till 95kmph, after that it struggles but never gave up.. Hats off to hero engineers.. I get 42 kmpl mileage in city riding and 35kmpl in highway riding as i have 2 pillions and high speed.Looks and performance: As per looks is concerned, i am not a fan of it.. I do not like this "anti drag tank" design, i like full fairing.. Anyway look is not so bad though.. But about performance.. Wow ! what a machine i have.. Proud of it.About servicing: I am very careful about this thing, i take care of my machine each and every day, a wash every week, i use wax coating all the time (if required everyday waxing). Engine oil change in every 3-4 months whether required or not. I change clutch wire and accelerator wire in every 2 years just to ensure no-problem performance in touring. Breaks pads were changed after 4 year completion. My bike looks so good, that it can be placed in a showroom and sell like new..Pros: Silent engine. Smooth riding, no vibration in any speed below 100kmph.Never feel any shoulder pain, back pain, wrist pain even after riding 350kms at a go.Cons: Headlights are not ideal for touring purpose.Brakes are good but rear drum break lags a bite.Front plastic visor parts may get loosen after a period of time..Final verdict: After completing 26000kms i can say it is a true commuter, not a tour-r or a sports bike..

      Discontinued xtreme

      Raman

Riding experience is excellent but as the this product is discontinued the spare parts are rarely available. The cheap alternates are available in the market. It's carburetor is not really good and it is also not available in the market. The rest the bike remains in controls at 110 km/h. It did not skids when driven in the rain.
