Smooth as butter & bullets like a stallion!

On Nov 8th, 2021, I just called my brother around 1 pm and casually asked him to go with me to check either re interceptor or honda highness. In a couple of hours, we were in the honda showroom in banjara hills hyderabad . My brother loved cb350rs looks and he said we will take a test ride of it. Even though I was a bit hesitant cos I had honda highness in my mind, I had to give in to my brother’s request. In short, test rode both of them. Loved both of them & canceled our going to re showroom. Fixed to buy cb350rs because of its looks. In a couple of hours, the guys at the showroom completed the formalities and handed over the bike. Wow! I never thought I would go back home on a new bike so soon.
The riding experience is buttery smooth. I had some problems with the riding posture on this bike because of my previous uses of re classic 350 & thunderbird, which I loved.
I also had a huge problem with both horn & lights and their switch too. The placement of the switch was awkward and the performance of the horn & light is good for nothing for Indian roads. But other than that, the bike is great!
At a stretch drove close to 400 kms & may I tell you it’s a smooth stallion! over the speed of 110, the vehicle will become lazy. For cruising at 90-110, it’s the best, the breaking too is sharp & good. I love its roar. I love honda cb350rs as a whole.

Glad I didn't go for its competitors.

The buying experience was a breeze, honda bigwing Varanasi has a very competent staff. I was instantly smitten by the looks of the bike. They also offered a good deal on the bike.
The ride quality is very nice. The engine has enough power for the number of bikes it is. The brake pads honda uses on these bikes get used up very quickly for some reason, I had to learn to use engine braking in order to prolong the life of the pads.
The traction control in the bike, although very primitive in its design, it works very well in controlling the huge amount of torque the bike makes, in wet conditions. It has saved me many times when I get over-enthusiastic at the wrong moments.
The bike is an eye-catcher on the road, seriously! I have been stopped twice by people just to ask about the bike. It's a rarity on the roads and that's very appealing to me.
The best part of the service experience, even though it's a bit costly but they make you feel like a king. It's a breeze to service this bike.
Honda bikes sold through bigwing have their separate service centers and are very well equipped compared to the standard service centers. My biggest gripe against re was their lackluster service centers.
I use this bike for my daily commute and occasional long rides. I never felt that it lacks power and the mileage this bike churns out is very good, I constantly get around 38-39 in mixed highway and city riding.
Cons of the bike are :
The front mudguards are very short to ride in the monsoon season. I had to install an extender to survive the rainy season, otherwise, it's impossible to ride it in rain without getting my whole leg drenched in dirt and water.
Although the brakes are very nice and they easily bring the bike to a standstill from triple digits speed but they lack feedback. They feel a little mushy, I suspect it's the abs of the bike that causes this.

Tips for other riders

Take good care of the chain, lube it every 500-600kms. Get a WD-40 and spray it on the rear foot pegs, as it gets stuck after the rainy season.
